Speaker 2 (00:10):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (00:11):
I love doing it this time of year. We're going
to Newington.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Lauren is on the Line says she went on a
great first date with a guy named Scott.

Speaker 4 (00:18):
Good morning, Lauren, good morning, And like it wasn't just great,
I think it was the perfect first date, like truly, truly, truly.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Truly, Oh my gosh, all right, so tell us about
this perfect first date.

Speaker 4 (00:30):
So we just we went out with some cocktail, okay,
and like it was just a dream. Like he showed
up with flowers.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Oh what a gentleman.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Okay, I know nobody does that anymore, and like, you know,
they were just like so beautiful and like they were
a mixture of like red and white, and like you know,
they were just like I know, like very holiday spearity.
And it was just so great and the conversation was great,
and like he flirted the entire time and not in
a cheesy way, like literally in a smoldering like I

(01:03):
don't know, it's like a game.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
I love it. I bet you felt your heart skip
a beat.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
I mean, it's not like lightning honestly struck my heart.
It was just so honestly, so real. I've never had
anything like this happened before, like you know, and afterwards,
like he actually like went to Walmart with me because
I said I didn't have a Christmas tree and he
helped me to pick out a steak Christmas tree and
paid for it.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Oh my god God.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
All right, oh yeah, listen, this sounds like an amazing date.
So so you reached out to him after the date
and you're getting ghosted?

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Is that what's happening?

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Yeah, I had like reached out to thank him, and like,
you know, just it was such a wonderful, beautiful time.
Like the snow when we were like leaving the store
sort of like lightly falling outside and like a snowflake
like landed on like and he like wiped it away.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
I'm yeah, you're jealous, Jeff, Oh my gosh, I love this.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
This is what we're gonna Lauren.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
It does sound like a pretty magical date, and we're
gonna call Scott. You'll be listening in. Feel free to
jump in if you want Okay, hold on.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
So bomby Jeff.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
I'm guessing there's a complete This guy is a completely
different view of the date.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Let's find out.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
Hello, Hi is Scott. There is Scott.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Hey Scott, it's Courtney Scott. It's Walmart Jeff, Hey Scott,
it's Savannah. All right, we're calling from Kiss ninety five seven.
I have to tell you are on the radio.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
Okay, cool, all right, you're on something.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Called second date Update.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
That's where if somebody goes on a first date, they
have a great time, but for some reason they get
ghosted after that and they want answers, they call us,
and that's why we're calling.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
You, Scott. Okay, all right, So Lauren called us.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
She said, uh oh, she said the date with you
is magical. She said, you guys went for cocktails. She
said you were fantastic, a true gentleman. She was, you know,
impressed that you brought her flowers.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah, it sounded like it was like one of those
Hallmark Christmas movies.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Basically, Yeah, that's what it did sound like.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
But she she's reached out to you to thank you
for the date. Then you haven't, you know, reached out
to her. What's going on, why are you ghosting her?

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (03:15):
Well, you kind of labeled it. It not only felt
like a hallmark okay, felt like she wanted it to
be even more so, and she even underlined that. And
she was just like moving super fast, and she was
already talking about how we're going to exchange gifts and
to get in the holiday spirit, we should just take
a little getaway vacation to Vermont to get in the

(03:38):
holiday spirit.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
It was just too much, all right.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
So it's a first date.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
So this is your first date, and she's mentioning going
away for a weekend.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Yeah. It was just very like this grandiose picture of
like a movie was being painted. I was like, okay, hey,
this is real life.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Okay, wait, question, have you guys like talked a lot beforehand?

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Did you guys talk for a couple of months. Maybe
she feels like she knows you better than she does.

Speaker 5 (04:05):
No, okay, all right, she just got really wrapped up
into it, and it was it was a little like
putting in too much for me.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
What you're telling me is she was moving too fast
for you. Other than the fact that you felt she
was moving too fast for you, wanting to exchange gifts
and you guys just met.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Did you enjoy her company? Were you attracted to her?

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (04:24):
It was just like a full throttle like lead foot
on the gas, okay, like romance.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Hey, Scott, are you a big city doctor that just
moved to a small town that yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Or like a lumberjack something like that.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
All right, Yeah, I need to give up on my
dreams and just settled down.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
No, we're not doing that. Can we bring Lauren on?
I should have told you, Scott, she's listening in Lauren.
Apparently you're just moving a little too fast for him.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
I mean, I'm so sorry for moving too fast, but
like she just had never felt that way before, and
like you're just such a great guy, Scott, Like I'll
totally slow it down, Like I just really want to
get to know you more. I mean, you're a romantic
here who like drops flowers and bought a Christmas right,
so oh a little I.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Guess Okay, Oh man, listen.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
I mean I just want to make sure I said
a precedent of like what's sustainable, because I don't want,
you know, to just like start at the end and
do these like ten plus plus dates and then all
of a sudden a couple months down the road, You're like,
where did that guy go? What happened? And I felt
like we were in that direction. I was like, I
just need to cut it off.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Okay, she was moving too fast. You were moving a
little slower.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Is there any is there any room to like compromise
and like, if you want to go on a second date,
maybe Lauren, you dial it back a little, maybe Scott
get into a little more of the Hallmark movie Spirits,
and I'll pay for the date.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
I mean, as long as we measure expectations of what
real life is, I could try again, Laurie.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
We'll hook you up with a gift card to Arby's
take real Life.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
So, Lauren, are you game for a second date if
you can reel an interest in tad? You know?

Speaker 4 (06:10):
I think so. I I think i'd be game.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
All right.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Listen, I'm gonna put you guys on hold so we
can work out the deeps. But we're going to pick
up the tab for the next date. And I think
you should go listen. I think you're gonna try a
second date just to say, okay.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Oh yes, absolutely, are you guys? Hold on
