special guest Uncle Henry.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Yes, I was planning on putting out a new podcast every.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Week, and that was months ago, but I'm putting one
out now because it's Christmas time.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
Congratulations to you the listener for finally getting to hear
Shelby Off the Mic.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Basically, that means things that we don't have time to
say on the radio because we only have like a
little bit of time in between all the songs.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Right, all right, so now we can kind of breathe
a little bit.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Oh, is that what we're gonna do?
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Not creepy heavy breath? What that was me trying to
that was kind of creepy?
Speaker 4 (01:01):
Well, then don't listen to it again. Don't listen to
your own podcast all right.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
So a fabulous feature that I do on the radio,
I say it's fabulous, It's not that fabulous.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
It's called the bad joke slam. Basically, it's my excuse
to tell a dad joke, bad joke.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
It's a good it's a good.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
You like to you like that?
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (01:17):
I did.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
I had a little girl. A friend of friend's daughter
likes that and requests it. So here's here's a bad
joke slam. You're my victim right now? Okay, okay, ready,
Where do reindeer get their coffee?
Speaker 3 (01:31):
I don't know where do reindeer get their coffee?
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Starbucks? All right, it's kind of cute, all right, kind
of cute. Are you festive? Are you in the mood?
Are you ready for Christmas? Or is it like wearing
you down? And you have a lot of go go,
and we're both very busy with the work. But aside
from work, like with the holiday? Are you how are you?
Speaker 2 (01:50):
What's your mindset?
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Well?
Speaker 4 (01:53):
I'm now I am jolly because you're the first person
to ask me, hey, how are you all?
Speaker 3 (01:59):
So thank you for asking.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Welcome.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
I'm I'm glad that we're getting closer to it because
we are busy at work. I'm not really able to
think about the holidays as much as other people.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Until I'm until I'm clear of all the work.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
But I'm anticipating future jollyness and festivities. You're asking, how
am I and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
I do.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
I like Christmas traditions, of course, like being around family.
I'm at that age where you start to realize that
the most important thing about Christmas is who you spend
it with. It has nothing to do with anything else
about gifts or any age. It's all about who is
here with.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Us, and it doesn't have to be family. Let's just
say that some people don't like their family.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
That is so true, and we laugh and that's okay.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
That's also a sore subject this time of year. That
causes people, some people to some heartaches.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
It does sometimes, but sometimes you just got to roll
with it. And if you have friends that you know
that you want to.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
Be with, yes, go be with them.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
Yeah, absolutely absolutely, It's all about who you with.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Yes, I agree, I agree.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
So I like to do like everything Christmas because I
am part elf and I do love Christmas even when
I'm exhausted, if I mean, just like looking at our
cute decorations in the studio or thinking about did you
see my office?
Speaker 2 (03:14):
It's so cute, And then my home is decorated. That
just makes me happy. It just puts joy in my life.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Now.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
Listener Shelby is about environment. She likes the She believes
that the environment affects everyone's mood. The aesthetics are very
important it. She decorates for every holiday. Ninety five KSJ
studio is always cluttered with some type of decoration.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Something if you look really, really close, you can see it.
Look through your radio right now, my heart.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
App imagine the clutter and that's there.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Okay, Uncle Henry.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
I've been playing a game all week, all week long
with the listeners and it's called is it a Hallmark
movie or not? So I'm gonna give you a synopsis
on a title and you tell me if it's a
real Hallmark movie or not. Like if it's not, I
made it up with the help of AI. If it is,
it's really on Hallmark, either this year or last year.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
All right, I'm right.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
I think I'm a good contestant because I've never watched
a Hallmark Oh you are.
Speaker 3 (04:08):

Speaker 2 (04:09):

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Yes, yes, yes they do.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
Okay, here we go. This one is called Santa's Little Matchmakers.

suburban neighborhood on Christmas Eve. Determined to spread holiday cheer,
they team up with single parents Lisa and Mark to
create a Christmas miracle and find love along the way.

Is that a Hallmark Christmas movie or not?
Speaker 3 (04:39):

magical mistletoe ornament, can Lucy save the farm and find
love under the missletone?
Speaker 4 (05:10):
Now see, this sounds like a real one, but the
title is so bad. I guess I'm gonna have to
I'm gonna have to lean real, even though it's a
horrible total.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Well, Hallmark is known for their horrible titles. But I
made that one up.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Oh you made up mistletoe, mistletoe magic and mistletoe meadow.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
It makes me laugh.
Speaker 1 (05:28):

two days ago, and she got it wrong too.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
Okay, well it sounds like a Hallmark made.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Okay, what else was I going to ask you on
this extended version of Shelby off the mic with Uncle Henry?
Speaker 2 (05:44):
I want to bring this podcast back.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Y'all can go back and listen to the Miranda Lambert
interview or the Clinton Black interview.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Yes, Clinton Black will be here for the moon Pie.
That's exciting.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Um. Oh, I was gonna ask you about your Christmas tree.
So I was looking at an article to see if
I can find it. They were talking about what people
put on top of their tree. Here's some strange ones,
all right, Uh, Santa claus hat, I guess that's not
very strange. Our last name initial looks nice. I've seen
that kind of in a stylish tree. A turkey puppet,
(06:14):
an alien a Ufo Yoda.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
From Star Wars.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
These people come on the eye does matter? These people?
Speaker 1 (06:22):

I never saw Lord of the Rings.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Good for you?
Speaker 2 (06:27):
And uh, but number one do you don't want to
guess what number one tree topper is?
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Well, let's either a star or an angel.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Bingo, star is number one, Angel is number two?
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (06:36):
What is number three?
Speaker 3 (06:39):
A shrimp? Oh?
Speaker 2 (06:40):
I don't know what a bow?
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Oh? Okay? Yeah that makes like a big o'bo. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Well, six people have a bald top of their tree.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
They put nothing on the top, and fourteen percent of
people don't even have a tree.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
What's wrong with these people? What's wrong with these people?
That's what Uncle Henry was saying.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Well, these people, there's something going off with them.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Well, they need an invent.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
No, I got to take it back. I've been told
I need to be extra kind. So my therapist is
I need to quit attacking and be extra kind. So
if people don't want to put anything on.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Top of the tree, that's fine, Yes it is. What
do you have on top of your tree?
Speaker 3 (07:13):
I don't have a tree this year. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
I don't well you're on that. You're in the percentage
of those people who don't have a tree.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
I've got all I've got all kind of ornaments, I've
got all the decorations, but they're up.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
I'm just not on a tree. Well, decorate your dogs.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
See that's that is the issue.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
See, these dogs, they don't respect the sanctity of Christmas
trees or really anything.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Your dogs are wacky.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
They eat a lot of things that I own, are
used to own.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
I understand that.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
