song you will hear only on the Breeze starting us
off this morning. Good morning, It is the Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Court. It is six oh seven and
it is April Fool's Day.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Yes it is, or as they say in France, pas
is that what they say they do, it's it translates
actually to the April Fish. But that's their version of
April Fool's Day. Oh, I have no idea why you
lost me at fish? And maybe that's the joke in itself. Yeah,
I don't have no idea.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Maybe what you just said is in April fools. Maybe
the rain is falling on and off this morning on
the roads, just be careful out there. I was driving
in and I take twenty Highway twenty four to come
in and there is an accident right before Wilder Road,
which they have cleared, but there are residual delays. And
when I say it was one of those accidents, when
you drive past it an emergency cruiser there that it's
(01:00):
sticks with you. Yeah, when you go past, you go,
oh boy, that can't be good, So just be careful
because the rain is falling in certain areas and it's
dry in others, and then you've got wet roads but
no rain, so eventually it's.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Going to taper off with it. Just be careful out
there this morning.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
For sure. Get to where you're going safely and listen
to the breeze.

the course of your lifetime.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Okay, eight seven, seven, nine, eight one oh nine eight one.
Susie and Sam mateo, what do you think.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Maybe a tooth?
Speaker 1 (02:55):
A tooth? Oh, you lose all those baby teeth when
you're a kid.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
How many teeth we have? Thirty two thirty two? Susie knows.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
I mean, is that the answer? It's not the answer. Oh, okay,
it's potentially correct, and I don't know the stats on
teeth loss, but that is not the answer.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
Hey, you guys, have a good day.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
You too, It was great to talk to you. Have
a good one, and thank you for listening.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Okay, no problem, bye bye.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
All right, good morning, Sylvia in conquered. Do you think
you know the answer?
Speaker 3 (03:24):
What is it?
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Pounds?
Speaker 3 (03:25):
That's what I said earlier.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
It was not necessarily at once, maybe a pound tier
I lost five pounds in Yeah, I've been nineteen eighty
seven gaining pounds. Well lately i've been losing pounds or
just lost twenty pounds I did. Thanks for noticing.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
No, you told me. Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
I love that answer. It's not the correct one. What
is the correct answer? On average, you will lose twenty
two pair of sunglasses in your lifetime. Oh oh god,
that's more like a month.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
I was gonna say, if you own the last bar
that I owned, you have a.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Pair of my sunglasses in your possession.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (04:05):
No, I have to buy a lot of cheap ones.
They used to buy the fancy ones, but I can't.
I keep losing them.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
So yeah, okay, I'm more of a breaker than a loser.
I'll break my glasses really sit on them. I'll set
them down on my car seat.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
There.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
I am probably the queen of gas station sunglasses, which
are my go to because they're cheap look great.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Yeah see what I'm saying, Sylvia.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
Yeah, oh yeah, I've seen people who have food Max
glasses and they look pretty good.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Oh food Max glasses GROCERI Ella does glasses too. Yeah,
Oh my gosh, I love this.
Speaker 5 (04:40):
We're helping people the bank.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Well, Sylvia, we wish you a good day.
Speaker 5 (04:46):
Banks so much.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
You guys too, Take care.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Take care.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
It's the morning Breeze brain tees, and we invite you
to join us and play along, of course every weekday
morning here at six twenty five, and.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Coming up this morning at six forty because today is
April Fool's Day, Carolyn, A very appropriate question from a listener.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yes, it's ask us anything, and I cannot wait to
get to this. I have an April fool story. So
do I a prank that?
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (05:12):
It actually went sideways? Oh oh did yours?
Speaker 1 (05:16):
I know it worked successfully and it was great.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Oh good, Okay, we will do ask us anything, coming
up six p forty on the Breeze. It's simply read
and it is six forty Good morning. It is the
Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Cord.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
And it's time now for ask us anything. This is
where you literally ask us anything something you might have
heard on the on the show. If you're just curious
about what our opinions are on certain things. Yeah, you
give us a call eight seven seven nine eight one
oh nine eight one. You can also leave us a talkback.
It is talkback Tuesday after all.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Oh that's right.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Just dial up the iHeartRadio app on your phone and
click the red microphone button and you can leave us
a message. This one comes from Kevin in Daily City, Okay,
who asks a very appropriate question on April Fullli Day.
What is the best prank you ever pulled off?
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Yes, okay, I've got one that comes to mind. When
my brother and I were younger, we had to go
like get our blood drawn or something. We went to
John Muir Hospital and we came back. You know how
they take the blood from your arm, like by your
right elbow there the crook of your arm, yes, the crook,
thank you court. We came home, we took the band
(06:27):
aids off our arms. You know how they have the
cotton ball and we put them on our necks, okay,
and we told our dad that they took the blood
from our necks.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
And my dad hit the roof.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
So badly, like the prank was so good, and he
believed it that my brother ran away to his friend
Chris's house. So it was and I hid in the
bedroom closet. Your dad was going to call up the
doctor's office and be like, what did you do to
my kids?
Speaker 3 (06:51):
He was going to call it up, and we had
to tell him we were kidding.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
So we yelled, we're kidding, and then we just ran
right And it was one of those.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
It was pretty good.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
It was one of those pranks that all these years later,
I'm telling it, it was great until it wasn't until
it backfired, how about you?
Speaker 5 (07:09):
For me?
Speaker 1 (07:10):
And it was a it was actually a prank that
I was able to pull off multiple times. My younger brother.
So he would go to bed and when he would
fall asleepe sleep pretty heavily, yeah, And so he'd fall
asleep like at nine or ten o'clock it was a
school night, and I would sneak into his room. I
would change his alarm clock to the next The next morning,
and then I would run in myself. I would like
(07:30):
take off most of my clothes and I'd run in
and be like, Jerry, Jerry, we're late for school. We're
gonna be late for school. And so then I'd just
run out of the room and walk upstairs for a god,
walk upstairs and just sit down with like my other
family siblings, may would just sit there casually watching TV.
And then Jerry would come up like five minutes later,
pulling his clothes on, getting Grady for school, and he'd
(07:51):
look around at all of us that but I did
it multiple times.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
He fell for it a second time, let alone multiple times.
That's really really good. We have this question on our
Facebook page. At ninety eight one the Breeze, Michelle said
that she told her stepdaughter that her son's girlfriend was
what's pregnant, and now she won't.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Take her calls on April First anymore. This is what happened.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
That's probably the biggest disclaimer. Today is April Fool's Day.
If if you hear something or see something that's outlandish,
just kind of know, yeah, take with that grain of salt. Yeah,
I know that it's probably not true.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
That is really funny, though, well, if you have a
prank that you've pulled on somebody or somebody pulled on
you and it either went really well or horribly wrong. Yeah,
we'd love to hear it either way. Eight seven seven
nine eight one oh nine eight one. It's ask us anything,
like Court said, leave us a talk back, give us
a call. We love your questions, and even more that
than not love answering them.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
We sure do. And here let's talk about people who
may not be the good prankers, but they're just good
people all around. Yeah, we're talking about the Morning Breeze
Person of the Week, where we take your nominations on
our website ninety eight one The Breeze dot Com. People

being recognized for those We.
Speaker 2 (09:02):

to take a moment to celebrate them. So the good
people in your life, let us know who they are.
Get those nominations in for our Morning Breeze Person of
the Week right there on our homepage at ninety eight
one The Breeze dot Com.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Timbaland and one Republic Here on ninety eight point one
The Breeze, It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court
at seven o five, and that means it's time for
the brighter side. The brighter side is pretty simple. You
call us eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine
eight one and tell us about something in your life
that brings a smile to your face or it just
makes you happy.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
That's how it goes.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
He also send us a talk back, by the way,
on our free iHeartRadio app. Just look for that red
microphone button, click it, then tell us your brighter side.
It's sponsored by Shreven Company, Luxury time pieces, find Designers
and Flawless Diamonds.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
And in San Jose, good morning. So what do you
do for a living?
Speaker 4 (09:49):
I work for a school district.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Awesome? What school district?
Speaker 4 (09:52):
Yeah, Samaze Kippertino area.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
How long have you been doing that job?
Speaker 4 (09:57):
This job, I've been in about eight years. I love
what I do.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
How did you start working for a school?
Speaker 4 (10:03):
Actually? I wasn't looking to work for the school district.
I did home health care and then I did that
for many many years and then decided that, you know what,
I love working with people, elderly people. But the money
wasn't good, so I said I need a little bit
more than that because I'm going to retire one day.
It just happened to work out. I just heard they
were hiring, and I applied. I work with students, and
(10:26):
I got hired and I absolutely love it. And that's
what I love is because I love seeing the kids
every day. That makes it worthwhile.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Very interesting that you went with working with seniors to
working with kids.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
Children, And that's what I always tell people. Yeah, yeah,
I'm very compassionate. I love people, and I love when
they need the help. I guess I really like that
I can be there for them. So when they're older
and they need help showering or you know, going to
the store or whatever, I like being able to be
there for them. So that was a really positive thing,
helping somebody that could and get around themselves to do stuff.
(11:02):
And now the students, it's in a different way, you know,
but I'm really there for them to mentor them, to
guide them. And I think it's just my Everybody tells, Anne,
you're so compassionate, You're you know, you're so kind, and
it's just I just love it. I love what I do.
I love people. I'm a people person. I like to
be around people. It doesn't matter who it is. So
I like to interact. I like to put a smile
(11:23):
on my face. You know, there's no time in this
world to be negative every single day. And I think
every day when I say good morning and they say
good morning, miss and to me with the big smiles
they're coming in, I think that's what makes my day.
Doesn't matter what kind of day I'm having. As soon
as I see those kids, it's really cool. It makes
it all worthwhile, no matter how bad the day is.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
It takes a special person to work with people, and
especially to that level, whether it be the seniors or
the younger kids. It really does take a special person.
And the fact that you're able to get those smiles
from the kids and the seniors like you're doing something
very right.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
Yeah, I tell people, you know, it's it's not that
hard to be kind and stuff. We need more of
it in this world. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Thank you. I appreciate that.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
No, you're an incredible person.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Yeah, we feel pretty lucky to have you as a
listener listening to the Breeze.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
I'm so loyal that I turned this the radio station on.
I've changed from other stations, and I just I love
listening to you guys in the morning. I love all
the music, I love listening to your stories, and you
guys just seem so you feel like you're at home.
It's a drive, and I go, wow, this is this
is awesome. You guys are so down to earth.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
That's really sweet. An Well, thank you again for listening.
As Court said, we appreciate it. We hope you have
a good day and if you've got a brighter side
for us. We're at eight seven seven nine eight one
oh nine eight one.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Coming up this morning at seven twenty five. Carolyn, I
had something happened to me the other day at the
drive through makes me kind of not want to go back.
I embarrassed myself.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
I was going to say that says a lot because
you enjoy a good drive.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
I do. I did something that maybe I shouldn't have done.
I'll tell you what. It is seven twenty five. Here
on the Morning Breeze.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
They are the Beg's. It is seven twenty five.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
Good morning, It is the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Cory.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Carolyn, I recently did something at the drive through that
I probably shouldn't have done.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
I cannot wait for this.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
So our family enjoys sweet treats. Sure you know, we'll
go to DQ for a blizzard, the mcflurry's and McDonald's.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
Yes, you speak about.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
On this particular night we did. We had decided to
go to McDonald's and get a mcflurry and my wife said,
if they've got a sweet treat that you think I
would like, maybe pick it up, okay. And I came
to find out that you can get fresh baked cookies
at your local McDonald's.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
Bake them fresh, okay.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
So I ordered a couple of cookies for my wife Randy,
and the guy said, well, we do have this thing
called the bread or the cookie tote, and I thought,
I don't. We don't need thirteen cookies, so because that's
what it comes with him, So I made the order.
We're waiting in line. It was a busy night, and
between the time I ordered and by the time I
got up to pay and take the food sloan, my
(13:57):
daughter had talked me into getting the cookie tot. She's like,
you know I would I would have appreciated some cookie
and you probably eat a cookie or took. So I said,
I'm going to change my order, and then Slan's like, no, no, no,
you shouldn't do that, Like, no, it will be no problem.
So I pull up to the drive through. The guy's
about to take my money. I said, hey, can I
change my order? I would like instead of the two cookies,
(14:18):
I'd like the cookie tote and he goes, hold on,
he's so over. It was the most it was the biggest,
most audible side I've ever heard in my life.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
I have a feeling that you weren't the first person
to like put a speed bump in his day, so
you were just the end result of all of the
people he's been dealing with.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
Right, Oh that on.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
Top of the these are fresh baked, they cook, they
bake them right then, Yeah, the speed of it. So anyway,
I'm kind of embarrassed to show my face at the McDonald's.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
That is really funny. But you know what, I feel
like I do that to you sometimes. Full disclosure. Behind
the scenes here when the show was going on, We're
doing a lot behind the scenes, a lot of editing,
a lot of things, And there are times I'm sure
that I have sighed where I sigh so loud that
I'm like, Court's gotta be texting Randy right now saying
(15:14):
what an uptight?
Speaker 5 (15:16):
No?
Speaker 1 (15:16):
No, none, that never happens.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
Do you use a different word than uptight?
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Too many words to text, But it is funny, like,
and I'm saying, I'm bringing this up because that guy sighing.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
I understand because I do it a lot here.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Yeah, just because you're so you're doing so much and
then you just don't even realize that it comes out.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
I'll pick up my phone and read a text or
read an email and I'll sigh it. My life like
what what? Oh? Sorry that wasn't for you.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
Didn't even realize it.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
That's a funny story though, And yes, you should definitely
stay away from that McDonald's, I think.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
For a while at least not change my order right now.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
I want a cookie toe that sounds good cookies. I know,
Chris doesn't. We're at eight seven seven nine eight one
nine eight.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
When we are, I'm so excited because we're just a
couple of minutes away from a chance for you to
go to the Beautiful Mountain Winery to see Boz Skags.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
That's right, it's coming October twenty eighth. Then we would
love to send you for free, so be here seven
thirty five, your chance to win moments from now here

you won. And I love that you're so close to
the venue since the Mountain Wineries in Saratoga.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Sup breezy, right, it's very nice at nighttime. Oh, it's
beautiful at nighttime.
Speaker 5 (16:30):
Beautiful.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
All right, Elizabeth, You've got yourself two tickets to see
Boz Skags at the Mountain Winery on October twenty eighth.
It's all courtesy of Golden Voice. Tickets, by the way,
are on sale now at Mountainwinery dot com. And we'll
do this again tomorrow, same time, seven thirty five. It's
eight oh nine here on ninety eight point one The
Breeze with Elton John. You've got the Morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Court.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
It's April first. It is April Fool's Day. Franks are
happening everywhere. As you mentioned earlier, Court, if people are
acting weird around you, be aware.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
If it's a little outlandish, it's good. There's a good
chance it's in April Fool's Day joke.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
They might be pranking you. We're at eight seven seven
nine nine eight one. We were telling earlier. I pulled
a prank with my brother off on my dad where
we had to have blood drawn, and we took the
band aids off of our arms and put them on
our necks and told her.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
I told our dad story.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
They took the blood from our necks and my dad
hit the roof, and then my brother ran away to
Chris Arnold's house and I went and hid in the
closet upstairs.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
But I used to trick my younger brother into thinking
we were late for school, and I was able to
pull it off multiple times.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
The fact that had happened more than once is the best.
Steve in Napa, good morning, what's your prank?
Speaker 5 (17:40):
Fifty two years ago? I think I'm I've been married
fifty two. My brother was married a year before me,
so when they were getting married, I borrowed his shoes.
So when they kneeled down in front of everybody in
the church, on the left and I did this with
white Polly, so it really stood out. On the left
foot it said help. On the right foot, it said me,
(18:04):
and you talk about everybody roaring.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
I'm sure so your brother might have laughed. I don't
know about his bride.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
Yeah, how did that play out?
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Because everybody in the church would have seen it, but
your brother wouldn't have known what was going on.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
So how did that play out?
Speaker 5 (18:20):
The crowd just you know, everybody just started laughing. They
had no clue.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Yeah, oh that is a good pay.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
Clu So the rule of thumb here is, don't invite
Steve to your wedding. All right, Steve, thanks for sharing
that prank with us this morning.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
Ye have a great day.
Speaker 5 (18:34):
Yeah, I have a supera.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
We have this question on our Facebook page because of
course it is April Fools and we're asking people about
pranks that they pulled off. And I was just reading
one from Mike, who listens on our iHeartRadio app in
Los Angeles, and he said that his friend's mom, who
lived next door, would give Mike the keys to his
friend's truck. Yeah, and he would go hide his friend's
truck around the corner when he was asleep, so that
(18:59):
when he woke up the guy, we think his truck
was stalled. Oh yeah, I love that the mom is
in on this with her child. We have so many
good stories on our Facebook page. Ninety eight one of
the Breeze. You can call us to eight seven seven
nine eight one, nine eight one.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
And coming up in just minutes. Eight twenty another chance
to win those tickets to see air Supply at the
Mountain Winery August twenty second.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Yes, they are going to put on a great show.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
They have eight ton of hits and I can tell
you firsthand when you watch air Supply and concert, they
do play all the hits and they still sound great.
So eight twenty b here are your chance to win
those Air Supply tickets on the Breeze.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and congratulations.
So you you're off to see air Supply at the Mountain Winery.
Speaker 5 (19:42):
Oh, hi, thank you.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
You're welcome. Have you seen air Supply before in concert?
Speaker 1 (19:47):
I know I haven't, but my mother in law is
a big fan. Oh man, are you going to go
to the show with your mother in law? You have? Yeah,
yes I am, Yes, I writ with my mother in law.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
Yes you get a gold star as Son in Law
of the Year.
