behind the scenes, are trying to find pictures of us
with our siblings, Like I've got one with John and
then one with Scott and Rogan, but then I don't
have us all together. So I'm like back to basically
two thousand and two at this point, trying to find
(01:39):
a photo. But we'd love to see your pictures.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Mine may be an old, old family picture. That's fine, Yeah,
all right, that would be really cute.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Actually, we're at eight seven seven nine, eight, one oh
nine eight one. We've got more Cindy Lapper tickets for

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Eight hundred clubs.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Okay, all right, if you think you know the answer,
eight seven, seven nine eight one oh nine eight one,
we'll play the Morning Breeze Brain Teas at six twenty five.
Right here at Breeze is the Morning Breeze with Carolyn
and Cord, and it is time for the Morning Breeze
brain Teas. We play every weekday morning at this time.
Good way for us to gauge how awake and how

alert you are while listening to our show, The Morning
Breeze brain teas sponsored by my Council pl Plumbing. You're
in clean hands with my Council Plumbing. See them online
at mc plumbing dot com.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Believe it or not, there are over eight hundred clubs
in America dedicated to this sport, and here is our number.
Eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one.
Anna in San Francisco, you're up first this morning. What's
your answer?
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Soccer? Soccer? Yeah, I just broke my ankle last year
playing soccer. Yes, in the Bay Area, we at Amazon
Bart I go and watch people play, and so that's
why such as soccer, because soccer is pretty popular. I
gotta be honest with you.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
Seeing the soccer being played down on the Marina Green
with the Golden Game as the amazing right, is the
most amazing thing to see in the world.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Yeah, it's pretty smaud.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
That's really cool. But sorry about your ankle. But court
enjoyed the view.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
I sure I did. I like the answer soccer. It's
not the correct answer though. Have a great day and
thanks for listening.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Annay guy, Good morning, Guermo in Daily City.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
Let's hear your g as.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Golf golf clubs golf club are America one point two
million dedicated to golf in America. I feel like everywhere
you go, Court's googling it.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Yeah, I'm gonna see, We're gonna let Google tell us
there are how.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Many in the USA?
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Sixteen thousand, sixteen thousand thousand golf clubs in Wow, But
I think that's a great guess.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Here is the big shocker here, believe it or not,
there are over eight hundred badminton clubs in America. Man,
that's a tough gift. Yeah, that is a tough one.
Sometimes Cord is really.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Tough on us with these with these brain teas questions. Germo,
don't you agree?
Speaker 1 (04:41):
I agree. I hear him every more than I agree,
and I'm like google it every time. That's what you
gotta do. When was the last time you played badminton?
I never had a baseball guy, I love, Germo.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
We need to get you out because nothing nothing's like
swinging the racket.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
The racket hitting.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Yeah, badminton is a frustrating sport though, because those birdies
they fall so quickly.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
And then they go they're aloft for a while, then
they drop, they just drop. Yeah, So I'm not here
to exercise that hard. I can't imagine. All right, well, hey,
have a good day. Thank you for listening. Well, I
want to say thank you guys for everything you do.
Every morning I listen to you guys. Yeah, every morning.
That's my favorite gearmo. We so appreciate that. Thanks for listening.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
It's the Morning Breeze brain Teese and we do it
every weekday morning six twenty five here on the Morning Breeze.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Hey tomorrow just after seven o'clock, because we do every
Friday morning after seven it is our Morning Breeze Person
of the Week.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
You still have time, though, to get your nominations in.
That's right. We're celebrating people in the Bay Area that
are going above and beyond, but oftentimes not being recognized
for those things.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Who is that person that comes to mind when we
talk about this, like that pops out in your mind, like, oh,
I know so and so they would be a great
candidate for a Person of the Week. We want to
know about those people, So get your nominations in so
we can and hopefully feature them tomorrow morning just after
seven ninety eight one The Breeze dot Com.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court six point
forty two is the time, and that means it is
time to ask us anything.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
I love this. This is where you send us your questions.
You can call us.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
At eight seven seven nine eight one oh ninety eight one.
You can also reach out on Facebook or Instagram send
your questions that way. You can also send us a
talkback on our free iHeartRadio app. If you're streaming the Breeze,
just look for that red microphone button and send us
your question about anything.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Yes, and we got a message from Robert in pacifica
thank you for listening. Robert, we appreciate it. He says,
I want to know what book or movie had a
very big impact on each of you. Ooh, so we
put this question on our Facebook page as well.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
But yeah, I kind of feel like people are answering
a lot better than I feel like I'm answering on this.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
That's exactly it.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
So my brain, I'm like, what book or movie my
brain embarrassing with these answers that are on our page.
They are so deep and important. And mine is simply
the movie The Breakfast Club. And the reason is it's
my favorite movie of all time. If you don't know,
it's a John Hughes movie from the eighties about these
(07:16):
kids that go to detention. It's over the weekend in
a high school in Illinois. My family, we're from Illinois,
and so for me, I identify right away John Hughes
filmed a lot of movies in Illinois.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
And more than that.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Though, was when that movie came out, I was kind
of that age, and so I really identified with the
characters in the movie. And take that another step by saying,
my brothers and I all bonded over that movie because
we know every line to that movie. To this day,
my brothers and I will drop lines from the movie
to one another. My friends know this movie. People that
work here talk to me about the Breakfast Club. So
(07:49):
for me, that movie has meant so much to me
over my lifetime. But then again, the court to your point,
I see these answers on our Facebook page, I'm like,
oh my gosh, my answer is ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
For me, very similarly, I was eight years old, I
went to the Alhambra Theater in my hometown and I
watched Back to the Future and that show blew my
mind as an eight year old. That movie is incredible.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
My brother Rogan has a Back to the Future poster
on his walls still to this day as an adult,
like loves that movie. So I get it. But then
I go to our Facebook page. We've got the Diary
of Anne Frank and the movie Beaches. Oh that's such
a good one.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
The things they carried. That's Terra's offering that up as
a book that's really touched.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
So I mean, and here's the beauty of this question,
and which is why I love Robert in Pacifica asking
this question. Is it's to each his and her own. Yeah,
there is no judgment here, Like whatever book or movie
means a lot to you because it has a big
impact on you. We're good, like that's okay. We just
want to know what that book or movie is. No
wrong answer, right exactly. So I joined that conversation on
(08:53):
our Facebook page at ninety eight When the Breeze. You
can call us or send us a talk back anytime
our phone number eight seven seven nine eight one. But
it is ask us anything and keep your questions coming.
These are great. We are also online at ninety eight
one the Breeze on social media.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
That's right coming up. It's morning seven thirty five. More
Cindy Lapper tickets as she hits the stage at the
Toyota Pavilion at Conquered in August.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Yes, we are so excited about the opportunity to send
you to the show. Cindy Lauper is fantastic in concert,
so you don't want to miss this seven thirty five
your chance to win Cindy tickets.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Here on the Breeze. It's DHT at seven oh seven.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Here on ninety eight point one the Breeze, It's the
Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and easily one of
my favorite times of the morning. Carolyn is the brighter
side where we get to hear the good and positive
things happening in the lives of Breeze listeners.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
No, I love this just as much.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
And the beauty of the brighter side is it doesn't
matter if it's something that is smaller. Yeah, it could
be something certainly grandiose. But whatever means a lot to
you when you're excited about is going to make us
excited too.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
If it brings a smile to your face, we want
to hear from you. Eight seven seven nine eight one
oh nine eight one. That's how you reach us. You
can also send us a talk back on our free
iHeartRadio app. The Brighter Side is sponsored by Shreaving Company,
Luxury time Pieces, Find Designers, and Flawless Diamonds.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
And it's Liz in Sonoma. So it's your birthday today,
Happy birthday. Thanks. How are you celebrating today?
Speaker 2 (10:19):
I'm going to work right now.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
All right, the boring part out of the way.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
This is pretty much how it goes after what eighteen
twenty one?
Speaker 1 (10:28):
You just go to work. My husband and I'll probably
go out to dinner tonight somewhere, but I don't know
where yet. Good you deserve it, Liz. We have a
good day.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
I love listening to you guys, listen to every day
on my way to work. Thank you, Liz. Enjoy your day.
Happy birthday, thank you. Okay, bye.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
It's always so weird when it's your birthday as an adult.
Like you had mentioned earlier, Court, most people still go
to work, yes, and have kind of a regular day,
and then maybe there's a celebration at the end of
the day. But don't you win your heart of hearts
like honor system. Don't you want to make the day
all about you celebrate? It's your birthday, and I feel
like as adults, we should celebrate our birthdays, whether you
(11:11):
take the day off or you go to work like
she is, Like, I hope Liz has something fun planned
at work and just has a great day.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
But I think it's okay to be an adult and celebrate.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Do what you did when you were in elementary school
and you took like some sort of cake, cupcake or
something to the entire class.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
If you have a brighter side for us eight seven, seven, nine, eight.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
One oh nine eight one and coming up at seven
thirty five this morning, once again, another chance to win
those Cindy Laupper concert tickets.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Yes, she's going to be at the Toyota Pavilion at
Conquered in August. You are going to have a blast
at this show. Cindy is so good in concert. So
be here at seven thirty five your chance to win
tickets on the breeze, So, Carolyn.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
During a recent vacation with my in laws, my daughter's
discovered that my father in law he has this notebook
and he's been he's learning Spanish, and we will vacation
in Mexico every now and then, and so and so
he keeps this a notebook of Spanish words.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
Phrases that he's working on. He's really but.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
They discovered inside that notebook he has a another page
of information, which is his slang cheat sheet, his slang
cheat sheet for like teenager slang.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
He has a cheat sheet. Yeah, it is adorable.
Speaker 3 (12:22):
In preparation of my family coming to visit, he sat
down and scoured the internet and found a bunch of
words to make sure that he was in the know
of what the current trends are.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Okay, and this is hystericis some of these?
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Some of these you're gonna know, Like, for example, Gucci,
I don't know that gucci.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Gucci means cool. That's Gucci, that's cool.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Oh okay, how about riz that's that's been around means charisma.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
I'm becoming alarmed that I don't know. You don't know anything?
That's sus Oh.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
My nephews say that, that's like suspicious.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
How about skibbity no bad? Something is skimvity? It's bad?
Speaker 3 (13:01):
Oh Ohio? Who would have known that ohio has become
a slang word?
Speaker 1 (13:06):
Ohhio?
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Weird?
Speaker 1 (13:09):
I love that. How old is your is your father
in law? Yeah? He just turned seventy. I love that
has this notebook de Lulu, Delulu. That's de Lulu. You're Delulu.
Does that mean you're delusional? Yeah, delusional? Okay.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
Some of them are more obvious. Others mewing, mewing, Hey,
you're mewing.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
I don't know. I still don't know what that means.
Looking good.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
Oh this is I don't know what's more awkward? His notebook?
Are you saying these words on the breeze right now?
That's eight ate eight good?
Speaker 1 (13:41):
Impressive?
Speaker 2 (13:44):
The only one I know and it's not even a
I barely think this is a slang word. And it's
because I hear my nephews say this all the time
they're teenagers. Is bra bruh. And now everybody is called bro.
Girls are called bra, boys are called bra, everybody's.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
It's the modern day version of dude where everybody could
do everybody.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Was a dude. Yeah, boy, that's that makes me feel.
Make you feel okay, knock it off. Disgusting That that
one's a.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
Little more we have got. Can I see a picture, imbout,
Show me real quick, Show me the picture real quick.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
I just posted this. Oh my gosh, that's it's got
the date on it, actual notebook. It's got the date
in law. That is the cute. You posted it.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
I posted it on our Facebook page so people can
go see it for themselves and then also take their
own notes.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
That is skibbity. Oh that means bad, right you want
it to be? Uh, that's sigma. Okay, it's so sigma
all right.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Check that out on our Facebook page. It's very cute.
Ninety eight one of the breeze. If you're experiencing this,
by the way, in your household, whether it be your
kids or your grandkids, we would love to hear from you.
What is the word because there are a lot of
them right now again said like complete elders, people, people
who don't know the people are already calling.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
That is hilarious.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
You can always send us a talk back to This
is a great opportunity to do that with our iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Just push that microphone button next to the play button
and stick around because we're just minutes away. Just let
me look at the time here. Seven minutes, eight minutes
away from your chance to win Cindy Lapper concert tickets.
We've been doing this all week long. Seven thirty five
your chance to see Cindy Lapper at the Toyota Pavilion.
So be here seven thirty five on the Morning Breeze.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
It's Carolyn and Cord on the Morning Breeze. Congratulations your
collar ten. You just picked up two tickets to go
see Cindy Lapper.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
Oh, thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
What would you say on a scale of one to ten,
your love of Cindy.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Lapper is me too? Great answer.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
It is a great answer, And honestly, we wouldn't accept
anything less.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Oh but we couldn't take the tickets back anyway, because
you are legit. Collar would have accepted less. Okay, thank
you so much. I'm so happy. We're happy for you.
Who are you? I am Claudia muss I am listening
from work right now. Get in some Francisco.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
Thank you very much, thank you, Thank you all right, Claudia,
we have two tickets to see Cindy Lauper at the
Toyota Pavilion that conquered August twenty sixth. It's courtesy of
Live Nation and in celebration of the pavilion's fiftieth anniversary.
This weekend, you can get two tickets for just fifty
dollars on Saturday and Saturday only at the Pavilion's box office.
(16:24):
I really appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Well, we appreciate you listening, and we'll have another chance
for Cindy Lapper tickets tomorrow morning. It's seven thirty five
here on the Breeze.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and court. Carolyn, have
you been to Costco recently and had to beat your
little card on the way in?
Speaker 1 (16:40):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Yeah, how it's all digital now on your phone? Is
that what you're talking about?
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Yeah, I used to, Well, you can do it on
your phone.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
You can also use your card, but they've changed up
when you enter a Costco now you used to just
have to flash your card to somebody and give you
the thumbs up here right walk in. Now you actually
there's like a scanner, like an infrared scanner that scans
your barcode and let you get I guess I haven't.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
Then the last time I went, it was new for me.
I had to show my card on my phone or whatever,
and then they or.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
Whatever if they're scanning it. That's kind of what I'm
talking about. Oh okay, I thought on the other side,
because it's basically this little computer thing. I think it's
like a tablet even, Yeah, with like a little scanner
on it. I thought it just gave them like a
green light saying this person's good. Sure, that's what I thought. No,
it actually takes the picture that's on your car and
shows it on the screen like a big tablet sized
(17:29):
picture of you.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
No, it does. That's really what they want to know
is to make sure the card holder is matching up
with the picture that is showing up on the screen.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
I may want to give my friend Janet a heads
up and asked for my card back. Janet, if you're
listening any of my card back status.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Or or she should dress up like Carolin McCardell.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
Yeah, something there needs to happen, but that's clearly a
separate topic. I probably just revoked my entire Costco membership
on during this conversation. My Costco picture court is probably
the worst photo of me out in the universe.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
It is. Oh, it's so bad that I tried to
scratch it.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Off of the card so that when I go to pay,
when I would you know how you have to get
the Costco cashier of your card when you pay, and
they always turn it upward. I tried to scratch it
so they won't have to see how ugly. My photo
is that they took of me. Well, so good to know.
Now it's on a big good it's on a big tablet.
Everybody behind us seeing that. Oh my gosh, this is
(18:30):
matching up. I have no idea. Min's pretty's pretty recent.
Oh yours is in color, mine's black and white. Oh
yours is good business member, Well so am I, But
yours is a lot better than mine. Well, I'd have
to get mine to show you from Janet. So if
you're listening, I haven't believe. It's some Costcos and not
(18:52):
all of them, especially here like here in the city.
I go to the one here in the city in
South Market. Uh, you have to even scan if you're
there just to buy the hot dog. You've a dollar
fifty Oh, because they want to make sure you're sure.
They're just really cracking down on membership only members using
the benefits. Fun fact, what is your most commonly purchased
item at Costco lately?
Speaker 3 (19:12):
Has been the Kirkland brand of metamucil. Because I'm a
middle aged man and I need my fiber.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
What about you? Not that?
Speaker 3 (19:23):
Okay, everybody should hop on that train. Okay, it makes
such a difference. Okay, Okay, okay, just say it. Come
talk to your doctor beforehand, of course, minus egg whites.
So there you go.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
That's nothing compared to what you have going on at
your costco.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
All right, word eight seven seven nine one.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
