The Morning Breeze, Morning Breeze on demand.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
It's Celindion in six oh six. Good morning, it is
The Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. Happy Friday. It's
April fourth, twenty twenty five. As I was coming over
the bridge this morning, cord into the city from the
East Bay. Yeah, I look over, Oracle Park is lit up. Yeah,
for the Giant's home opener today, opening day, home opener,

(00:27):
home opener. Yeah, it's such a vibe right now. You know,
even watching the news this morning, they've got the Giant's
logo for you know, the weather. When they're doing the forecast,
they get the logo on their television screen. It's just
like it's everybody is into it. It seems like everybody's in a,
you know, in a happy mood about that. And it's

(00:47):
just a fun vibe right now.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
It's definitely a vibe.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
I live in the neighborhood of the of Oracle Park,
and I'm looking forward to how many.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Months of this?

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Six six months, six.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Six months of just craziness. Yea, but good craziness.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
It's fun crazy, yes though. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
So first pitch today against Seattle Mariners is at one
thirty five and you can reach us at eight seven,
seven nine eight one oh nine eight one. We're doing
Bosgags tickets again this morning Mountain Winery in October, that's
when BOS will be there and be here at seven
thirty five again today for your chance to win those
tickets on the Breeze.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
And then of course be here at eight twenty because
we've got more air supply concert tickets. They also at
the Mountain Winery that show happening August twenty second.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Yes, all right, so Morning Breeze Brain Teas. You know
we do it every weekday morning at six twenty five.
Let's hear today's question. The average person will have about
two hundred of these over their lifetime.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
They'll have two hundred.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Yeah, will they own two hundred or will they have
two hundred?

Speaker 3 (01:47):
I think the they will have two hundred of these
over their lifetime.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Okay, eight seven seven nine eight one own nine eight one.
If you've got a guest, we want to hear it.
Morning Breeze Brain Teas at six twenty five, perfectly.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Haley Reinhardt at six twenty two.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Good morning, it is the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and
Court and it is time for the Morning Breeze Brain Teas.
We've got a tricky one for you today morning. Breeze
Brain Teas sponsored by my Council Plumbing. You're in clean
hands with my Council Plumbing and you could see them
online at mc plumbing dot com.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
You think this one is tricky? Huh?

Speaker 5 (02:21):
I do?

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Because well, okay, let's hear the question.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Okay, the average person will have about two hundred of
these over their lifetime.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
That's where it gets tricky for me.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah, it's have not own, but they will have sure,
So it could go a couple of different ways. Okay
eight seven seven nine eight one own nine eight one
tweet and San Leandro, good morning.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
What do you think? The answer is?

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Shoes?

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Shoe?

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Oh, pair of shoes shoes tweet? Do you have a
closet full of shoes?

Speaker 5 (02:52):
I do?

Speaker 4 (02:52):
Yeah, I had a feeling you were speaking from experience.
That's a really good.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Guess it is. But I think I know people who
have two hundred pair of shoes. Who's at this very
moment is one your wife, now Randy's. She's got a
decent amount of pair of shoes, but not two hundred pairs.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
There are people that are obsessed tweet. How many do
you think you have in your closet right now?

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Okay, we please on our way.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Hold on tweet? How many of those do you actually wear?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Maybe a quarter on? That sounds right, Sure it does.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
It does depend on the season. I'll give you that.
So is that the answer, cord.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
That is not the correct answer.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Tweet, Sorry, shoes is not the answer, apparently. But have
a good day and a good weekend.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
Hey, take care.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
I have a good day. You two by Joe and Lafayette.
Good morning, Happy Friday. What's your guess?

Speaker 5 (03:44):
Headache?

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Headaches? When was the last time you had a headache? Joe?

Speaker 5 (03:48):
I don't get them that often, fortunately.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
How about you, Carolyn?

Speaker 4 (03:52):
I don't get headaches ever. Knock on wood ever.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
No, you I get them maybe once a month.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
What do you think causes those headache?

Speaker 1 (04:00):
You? Cot? But for real, probably not sleeping enough, too late.
That's a really good guess, and you're kind of in
the same in the right mindset. The average person will
have about two hundred common colds over their lifetime. Joe,
you were so close common cold cold. Wow, I just

(04:22):
got over one, so that was like kind of oh yeah,
one hundred and fifty seven for me, and he.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Still came into work. You know why you're a good
co host.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
There was no fever.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
All right, Joe, thank you so much. I love your show.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Thank you. We appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
A good one.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
You know, Carolyn, if you were to ask me how
many colds you would have over your lifetime, I would
have thought way more than two hundred.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
But if you think about it, that's roughly.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
I don't know because to a year. Yeah, I was
gonna say, I don't knock on wood. I probably will
get one now, but I don't get colds very often, so.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
I almost think maybe it's lot.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
You think it's less.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Maybe less.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I think more. You think less, which is probably why it's.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Exactly too, and that's why it makes it a good
brain tease. Sure, morning Breeze brain tease. Every weekday morning,
we invite you to join us at six twenty.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Five and coming up this morning at six forty once again,
ask us anything. So yesterday the question was directed at me,
yes today the question is directed at you, Carolyn.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Okay, we will do ask us anything that's coming up
at six forty here on the Breeze the morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Cord six point thirty nine. It is
Friday morning, and it is time for ask us anything,
a chance for you to call up and say, hey, Carolyn,
Hey Cord, I've wondered this, or what do you think
about xyz?

Speaker 4 (05:38):
It's Sky's the limit? Really anything that's right.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Yesterday the question was directed at me. Today, Carolyn, the
question is directed at you.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Yes, and we are at eight seven seven nine eight
one nine eight one.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
It's Gale in San Jose.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Good morning, Good morning.

Speaker 5 (05:55):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
I want to ask you, Carolyn, are you still announcing.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
At the Giants game?

Speaker 3 (05:59):
I am us. Oh cool, I'm gonna.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Have to make it out there this year. I hope
you do, Gail. That would be great.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Gail, have a good day too.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
All right, bye by Gail. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
So it's funny because last year I got hired as
the Giants public address announcer, and it was weird because
there was an audition process. I got hired midway through
the season, but I did fifty eight of you know,
eighty one home games, right, So I did a lot,
but I didn't do a complete season. This season, it's
my first opening day in Major League Baseball, Like I've

(06:31):
done minor league, but to have this be my first
major league opening day is huge. But the Giants are
calling it my second season, so it's kind of this
asterisk as to what season this truly is.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
But yeh, so I'll be out there today in every
home game.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
And regardless, we're all really excited for you again, Karrie,
Thank you, Cork.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
I'll be at the ballpark. I'll be yes screaming your name.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
You're so cute.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
And by the way, Court is wearing the best. Court
tries to push a Hawaiian shirt Friday here every one day.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Is going to catch every Friday.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
I've been doing it for two years now and I'm
still the only person pretty much walking into work with
a tropical type shirt on a Friday.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Today it's Giants theme.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
It's so cute and we're going to put a video
up later. I got caught a little gift this morning
for opening Day, and so we'll put that video up
on our page. You could see his shirt, but it
is adorable, and we invite you to ask us anything literally.
It could be about anything, could be about the radio station,
could be about things happening just in life that you
want to know.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
Our opinions on.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Let me give you an example.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Okay, hey Carolyn, Yeah, are we giving.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Away more Bozgags concert tickets today?

Speaker 4 (07:37):
I am so glad you asked, Court. We are.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Bosgags is going to be at the Mountain Winery in
October and hopefully you will be there watching boz Live.
Be here at seven thirty five your chance to win
tickets on the Breeze.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and every
Friday at this time we get to do this really
great thing where we name somebody new as the Morning
Breeze Person of the Week.

Speaker 5 (07:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
These are all nominations that come from you, from our listeners,
talking about the amazing people.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Here in the Bay Area.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
And as we mentioned just a minute ago, this week's
Person of the Week is doing so much I don't
know physically how they do it all right, like that much.
So this week it is Amber who nominated Giovanni. Amber,
good morning, Thank you for being on and tell us
about Giovanni.

Speaker 6 (08:22):
He's an amazing person. He's very selfless, he's dedicated to others,
and he really just puts other people's needs before him.
I'm very lucky to have this person in my life.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
I was going to say, how do you know him?

Speaker 6 (08:39):
He is my fiance.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
The reason I asked is because I could. First of all,
I could hear the smile on your face when you're
talking about him. But also you mentioned in your note
you wrote, I'd like to mention while his fiance is
working toward teaching credential, so that means you are working
towards your teaching credential and your masters. And he's been
helping with the bills and beyond that.

Speaker 6 (09:02):
Absolutely, yes, he's helped with the bills while I'm still
in school. And I recently went through a scary health
condition and he has been helping me recover and doesn't
be there mentally, and so I've been very, very appreciative
of what he's done.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
So we've got Giovanni on with us as well. Giovanni,
what do you think about everything?

Speaker 5 (09:25):
Amberg just said, thank you, baby, I appreciate that very much.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
I mean, Giovanni, you've got so much going on in
your family. You're doing so many things for other people
with your job.

Speaker 5 (09:36):
That's all we got to do, and that's how I
was raised, and that's how we need to treat others.
So I don't see it as something special, just something
that I'm supposed to be for others.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
And yeah, is this how your parents are as well?
I feel like you got this maybe from your dad
or your mom and your dad.

Speaker 5 (09:54):
More so my mom. She's like my grandma. She's super loving,
giving even if she does and have anythings, she'll give.
I'm glad I got my mom's characteristics on that end.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Well, it sounds like it's affecting all kinds of lives,
including ambers little things every single day that you're doing
for people.

Speaker 5 (10:12):
I appreciate that, and she does that for me. So
maybe you will see me on a radio showing something
for her. I appreciate you, baby, Thank you. I do
it for you and not for any rewarder to be
on a radio show, just because I love you, and
that's what matters.

Speaker 6 (10:29):
Thank you, I love you.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Well, Giovanni. There's something else.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
There's a bonus to being named the Morning Breeze Person
of the Week is we want to send you out
on the Bay on a city cruise cruise of the Bay,
enjoy brunch one Sunday morning.

Speaker 5 (10:41):
Sweet Thank you. I love food. I like boats too.
That's that's awesome. Thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
It's cute.

Speaker 6 (10:50):
I do. I do.

Speaker 5 (10:51):
It's good.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
You're going to come up to San Francisco.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
We're going to get you on a city cruises boat
and you just go out and like take in all
the views and eat some great food and spend some
time together, you know, take care of yourselves and not
have to worry about others for a minute.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
For sure. Thank you so much. We will definitely do that.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Giovanni, you were one of the most laid back guys
and I personally love it.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Yeah, but I'm curious to know how you keep your
composure because you work with kids.

Speaker 5 (11:17):
Uh yeah, it happens. Sometimes they'll they'll get you. They
win some rounds. I win a few rounds. I'm a teacher,
so I'm just like, you know, we just got to
play some games that.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
You just send them out for a long run around
the track. You're like, you know what we need to do.
We need to run now kids.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
That's where I think pe teachers have the advantage, like
the physical exercise is part of the curriculum, so you
can wear them out and it's the right thing to do.

Speaker 5 (11:44):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Well, it was very fun spending the morning with you guys.
Thank you for being on with us. Johanni, congratulations, Thank.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
You so much, very grateful. That's awesome. Thanks baby, I'll
talk to you.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Later, all right, Amber and Giovanni, you guys have a.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
Good day, Okay, thank you, all right bye.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
If there's somebody in your life, like Giovanni that you
would like to tell us about and nominate them for
Morning Breeze Person of the Week, it's easy to do.
Just get on our website ninety eight one The Breeze
dot Com. The entry form is right there, and you
never know he might be calling them next week as
our next Morning Breeze Person of the Week.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Wow, that is Dan Hartman. I can dream about you.
Seven twenty four. Good morning, Happy Friday to you. It
is the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Cora.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Carolyn, it's no secret that I am a huge fan
of dad jokes.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
You love dad.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Jokes, you do, and you do them quite well. I
have to say thank you. I appreciate you saying that
you're welcome.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
Speaking of which, the other day, we were eating breakfast
at the house and I heard my daughter Sloan scream
from the other room, so I ran into the dining
room where she was eating and she said that the
salt shaker had exploded on her. Oh and we're all
the whole family's there, and she said, I was assaulted,

(13:09):
and I was proud. I was so proud of her.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Would you put this in the top three proudest moments
as a dad of your daughter, Sloan.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
I don't know about the top three, okay, because I
know some really great things. But I was so impressed
at how quickly she got to the I got I
got assaulted, and everybody's laughing. Everybody is laughing. Actually, my
in laws were there too. And the best part was,
and this is the part that I really loved, is
that as everybody's laughing, I look over at her and
just the smile that came on her face.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
She's so proud knowing that she had made everybody laugh.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
She's carrying on the legacy.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
It was the best thing ever just to see that smile.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
No, that's pretty great, and Sloan does a lot of
great things, but I will put this for me, and
the short amount of time that I've known Sloan is
in my top three slun moments. Other than that, her
opening a full nail salon in your base and hustling
her friends. Oh yeah, and that definitely goes out of it.
But this was pretty You.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Just had some clients slash friends over the other.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
Day and how old ist loan seventeen? There you go.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
That's great. Though we're at eight seven seven nine eight
one oh nine eight one. You can always send us
a message to our iHeartRadio app. We have this talkback
Mike on the app that so many of you have used,
and keep your messages coming. It's very entertaining. Behind the scenes,
we get to play your messages and sometimes they make
them on the air, make it on the air, and
they are so great, So keep those coming.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
You can send us those talkback messages any time of
the day if you're thinking about the morning breeze, in
the afternoon, while you're listening to Tony, you can still
send us a message.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
Oh yeah, we get those messages from you at two
am sometimes, and those are I'm going to say, the
most entertaining.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Yes, they are all.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Right, and coming up this morning in just a few
minutes seven thirty five, we've got another chance for you
to go see Boz Gags.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
Yeah, he's coming to the Mountain Winery.

sixties to low seventies.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Music from Seal at eight o seven here on ninety
eight point one the Breeze. You've got the Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Court.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
Okay, totally honor system on this question. Court, Okay, do
you sleep with a stuffed animal?

Speaker 1 (16:06):
I can say with total assurance that I do not
sleep with a stuffed animals.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
I thought that might be your answer.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
Well, apparently a lot of people do.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
And it turns out that adults specifically who sleep with
stuffed animals apparently get a better night sleep because the
science behind this is saying that plush toys in particular,
they signal, like your brain, that it's time to wind down.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
This has to be from childhood and.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Fun fact for you, one fifth of all stuffed animals
that were purchased last year were purchased with and for adults. Wow.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Yeah, so are these adult sized stuffed animals? Are we
talking about like a little like you know, genuines.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Did not see a specificity on size, and I kind
of don't want to know. But that's a lot of people.
When you're looking at a fifth of all people. And
by the way, I use to sleep with a stuffed
animal in college, Okay, and I know a lot of
girls did this, and I don't know if guys did this. Well,
you guys probably didn't sleep with stuffed animals wi you
were younger. But for girls, we would sleep with stuffed

(17:11):
animals and I would spray my boyfriend's cologne, oh all
over the stuffed animals, so it smelled like him. Now,
back in the day, that was c ky or eternity
was a big one.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
Oh so good.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
So I just wonder if anybody listening, if you're willing
to admit to it, and we're not here to make
fun of you, like I'm genuinely curious, does anybody listening
sleep with a stuffed animal still?

Speaker 4 (17:35):
Or do you know an adult that does?

Speaker 1 (17:37):
I don't know anybody, but again, according to the survey
you read right, adults who sleep with stuffed animals actually
sleep better.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
I know it's a study. It's crazy, it's official. We're
here to I don't mean that in a negative way.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
No, it's not crazy. It's just a crazy statistic. Who thought,
But it's yeah, yeah, we're at eight seven seven nine
eight one oh nine eight one. You want to be
with us, because coming up in just a few minutes
at eight twenty this morning, you're gonna have another chance
