The Morning Breeze This Morning Breeze on Demand.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Christina Aguileras starting things off for us this morning at
six oh six. Good morning, It is The Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Court. It is April seven, twenty twenty five.
Happy Monday morning, Happy Monday to you man. Talk about
microclimates in the Bay Area.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Court.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
This morning, I got up and I took Perk out
for our morning walk. Yeah, and it was warmish, so
I just wore like what I'm wearing to work, which
is like a light sweater.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Sure, I was fine. I did. It smelled a little
bit like rain in the air, but I thought, little
hint of rain.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
But you think it was supposed to rain today? And
I checked the weather forecast. It said in the Concker
Clayton area, no rain. I thought, great, we get in
the car, start driving in right on twenty four. As
I hit Lafayette, it starts sprinkling, and then by the
time I got Arinda, Berkeley, Oakland, San.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Francisco is raining. I don't think rain was in any
of the weather models because I for the first time
actually pulled up my app on my phone before I
walked into work. Mm hmmm, and there was no rain
in the forecast, so I didn't grab a jacket, I
didn't grab my umbrella, and that's outside and it was
instantly rained upon.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Okay, so what do you do in that case you
being caught? Yeah, do you go back upstairs and get
I have, like I have like a six minute walk.
I know, but it was just kind of it wasn't
like a heavy rain. It was a mistaking rain. It's
like a drizzle this morning.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah, And so I thought I can do this and
it was fine by I Literally it was slightly damp,
but by the time I got up here to the
fourth fifth floor, M fine. Okay, good, so you're gonna
be okay, I'll survive. Thanks for asking.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Well.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
We hope you had a great weekend. Welcome back to
the week.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
You can reach us at eight seven seven nine eight
one oh nine eight one. A couple of things we're
doing today that we are really really excited about. We've
got a chance for you to go see Cindy Laupper
at the Toyota Pavilion. It conquered on August twenty six.
We'll be doing that every morning this week at seven
thirty five and at.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Eight twenty This morning, We've got tickets to see World
San Diego. This is really cool. Yeah, it's a four
pack of tickets. We're going to send you down and
we're also going to give you a one night hotel
stay at Paradise Paradise Point Resort and Spa, which is
literally right next door.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Yeah, you can walk to SeaWorld. Yeah from there. So
that's happening at eight twenty every morning this week. And
of course, speaking of every morning this week, we've got
the Morning Breeze Brain Teas that's coming up at six
twenty five.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
The number of businesses that specialize in this service is
expected to double by the year twenty thirty. All right,
think about it.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
If you know the answer, call us eight seven seven
nine eight one oh nine eight one.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
We'll play at six twenty five. Here on the Breeze,
Louise six twenty four with Justin Bieber. Here on ninety
eight point one The Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Court and let's do it. It's the Morning
Breeze Brain Teas sponsored by Mike Council Plumbing. You're in
clean hands with Mike Counsel Plumbing. Visit them at MC
plumbing dot com. We're starting you off with a tricky one.

(02:58):
I think this week the number of businesses that specialize
in this service is expected to double by the year
twenty thirty.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
If you think you know this answer, call us at
eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one
b and Elsa Bronte, Good morning, Happy Monday. What do
you think AI AI for sure? Are you somebody who's
embraced AI, like, are you using it yet?

Speaker 3 (03:23):
I've just heard a lot about it.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Yeah, yeah, I think there's a good chance that AI
will definitely have doubled by twenty thirty, if not quadrupled.
What's what's five times quintuple, kintupled, sextupled? What? Oh that's six? Yeah?
Oh oh, I think it's just good. I think it's
just going to grow and grow. That's not the specific
answer we're looking for today. B Oh, you know what

(03:46):
the real win is here. We got to talk to you.
Oh yeah, yes, yes, we'll have a good day. Yeah,
happy Monday, and thanks for listening. Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
By Okay, Alyssa in Fremont, you're a what's your guess?

Speaker 1 (04:01):
AI?

Speaker 2 (04:01):
See, I think we're going to get a lot of
AI guesses because this is what's hot right now.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Yeah, these days, it seems like it's the most obvious answer. Alyssa,
do you use AI at all?

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Are you one of those people like me that you're
digging your heels in saying no, I don't.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Really care for it, you betcha, I'm actually looking for work.
And so you know, it's a really hard thing with
the AI because it's really hard to even get to
talk to a person, you knowing you a job. So yeah,
it's very diffut I wouldn't have even thought that you're right,
even to find somebody live to talk to about a job. Yeah.
So I'm not going to say that you're wrong, because

(04:35):
I think you are correct, because I think AI is
just going to increase, an increase and increase, but specific
to doubling by the year twenty thirty. The answer is
car washes. Business is that specialize in car washes is
expected to double by the year twenty thirty. I wonder
why that is. I have no idea. That's such a
random stat Yeah, and if anything, maybe they'd go down

(04:57):
people conserving water. Yeah, that for sure. Hey, Melissa, what
kind of work are you looking for? Looking for?

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Like admin?

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Office manager, I can assistant admint.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Okay, Well, if anybody out there listening is looking for
an admin assistant, somebody to do office.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Work, call us, thank you, we'll connect you guys. All right, wonderful,
Thank you so much, of course, all right, good luck,
all right, you too, bye, thank you bye.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Wouldn't that be great if we could connect her court
with somebody who's listening right now, who's like, I'm actually
looking for an admin person.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
So not only are you getting the Morning Breeze to
get your relaxing favorites, but we're also we've become headhunters.
We're a job fair as well.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeah, all right, the Morning Breeze brain teas every weekday
morning we play at six twenty five and certainly invite
you to join us.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
Coming up this morning at six forty once again, ask
us anything. This one coming from Dale in Fremont. I
like this question a lot. Do we have this question
on our Facebook page too? I do? We can. We
took Dale's question and we asked you the same question
our Facebook page. Okay, so we will get to that.
It's ask us anything. It's coming up at six forty.
We think you're gonna like this one. On the Breeze.

(06:06):
It's been e king and it is.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Six forty one The Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court
every weekday morning at this time at six forty we
do ask us Anything, where you can call and literally
ask us anything. We've had a bunch of different questions
recently from people asking about These questions have been great,
asking about like our lives outside of the radio station,
to questions about what we think about things. Somebody called

(06:30):
the other day asking how do you feel about AI
and drive throughs? Right, So it's kind of a fun
conversation that we love having with you every morning.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Hey, Carolyn, what's your pin number?

Speaker 2 (06:40):
You're only saying that because I asked you over the
weekend what your pin.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
You were trying to get my pin number? Yeah? What
is it? Ah? Anyway, that's why it's called ask Us Anything.
I'm really liking this question, which comes to us from
Dale in Fremont, and we've also posted this question on
our Facebook page so you can play along as well.
What's something you've been really into lately, whether it's a hobby,

(07:04):
a show, a book, or just a random interest. What
is it for you? So? I love TV, So I've
been into a lot of TV shows lately, Severance, which
is super big. I think a lot of people are
in this. Severance Paradise on Hulu is really good. Yeah,
but if push came to shove. What I've really been
into lately is a dumb game on my phone. It's

(07:25):
called block Blast. I know, block Blast. I love that game.
I thought I was like the only one. No court,
my brother plays it too. He got me into it.
It's like a modified version of tech Tetris. You can't
rotate the shapes. And I seriously thought my family is
all into it. But I thought it was just us
until the other day. I'm on the bart and I
look over and the guy next to me is playing

(07:46):
block No kidding, See, I thought it was just my
brother and I playing it. It's a thing. I love
block Blast.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
I will play that before I go to bed at night,
and then I can't go to bed because I'm trying
to get that high score.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Oh yeah, I'm trying to beat my own score. I
know what your high score is. I can't remember. I'm
the raining champ in what is your high score? Twenty nine?

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Oh that's way higher. I think I'm at ten. Whoa
somebody's spent a lot of time on his spoe. No
block blast is fun. So two raining endorsements for block blasts.
What are you into? I would say that I have
recently really been into this sounds so cheesy, but like
dieting and working out because last season was my first

(08:28):
season working with the San Francisco Giants, and with that
comes the press dining room. And I started out healthy
last season in the press dining room, and you ended up.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
I ended up.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
My dinner would be like two pieces of cheese, some
cold cuts. Then I found the frozen new yogurt machine
with the toppings. Then the soda came and it was
just a slippery slope. So by the end of the season,
I'm like, hey, I've got the off season. Then came
the holidays, so I put on weight and I'm like,
I have to stop this year. So I've really been
into to making sure I go for a walk every day,

(09:02):
trying to get all my protein and a meal. And
that sounds very nerdy, but for me to feel good
like my own personal self, I have to eat healthy.
So I've been into like trying to rain that in
and get healthy able to take a plus one that
food station there. Absolutely not, but I could maybe snag
you a bag of chips or something when no one's looking. Yes,
and they're really good too. But I like I think

(09:25):
I like your answer better than mine. By the way,
now we have to talk about block blast off the air.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Ask us anything again.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
We do it every weekday morning here at six point
forty on the Breeze. You can send us a message
with our iHeartRadio app or call us eight seven seven.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Nine eight one nine eight one. Coming up this morning
seven thirty five. We've got tickets to see Cindy Lapper
when she comes to the Toyota Pavilion at Conquered August
twenty sixth. Yeah, this is so fun. Cindy Laupper doing
a huge tour and the fact that you're going to
be able to be at the Conqueror Pavilion in August.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
I love the pavilion in the It is so much fun.
We can't wait to send you so, Like Court said,
be here at seven thirty five for your chance to
win those tickets on the Breeze. Steve Winwood at seven
five here on ninety eight point one the Breeze. It's
the morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and time now
for the Brighter Side, sponsored by streaming company, Luxury time Pieces,

(10:18):
Fine Designers and Flawless Diamonds. The Brighter Side is where
you call us eight seven seven nine eight one nine
eight one and tell us about the good and happy
things happening in your life.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
But you don't just have to call us. You can
also send us a talkback, and that's where today's Brighter
Side comes from.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Good morning, and I am glad to hear that you
guys had a good weekend. I want to say happy
birthday to you my daughter Alissa, she turns twenty one today.
Hope you guys have a wonderful day. Love your station
so much, Thank.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
You, and happy birthday, Alyssa, Happy birthday, Alyssa twenty one.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Any one you're legal? Yeah, do you remember your twenty
first birthday?

Speaker 1 (11:01):
For it? I am the wrong person to ask when
it comes to turning twenty one. It was just another
birthday for me, didn't mean anything. You're you're not a drinker,
so for you, I can't imagine you going out and
whooping it up and going to bars, so it didn't
mean it was just another birthday for me. How about
for you, Carolyn. I went out and whooped it up
and went to bars.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Okay, actually no, My twenty first was like not that
big of a deal. I went out with my cousin Kelly,
who was in town from Illinois, and we went out
to this bar. Kelly said, I got to take you out.
I got to take you out. I had one beer.
It was a Miller Genuine Draft and it was disgusting,
and then we went home after that.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
That was it. That was my whole birthday. One beer.
So memorable because you still remember it, and I haven't
had an MGD since. Oh, I mean maybe I have.
My daughter, Quinn turns twenty one in about a year. Oh,
and my family has been talking about her twenty first
birthday for the past three years. Oh my gosh, sparely
it includes a trip to Las Vegas. That's way more

(11:59):
than a Miller Genuine win Draft. I know, but I
can't quite figure out if I'm invited to it or not. Again,
me not being a drinker, I don't know if they're
planning on me going or not. They're like, Dad'll go
do his own thing and Randy'll go out with Quinn
and her friends. I'll just be at the blackjack table.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Yeah, we're at eight seven, seven nine, eight one oh
nine eight one.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Wonder if anybody else listening remembers their twenty first birthday?
Did you whoop it up? Was it like? Do you
have a crazy story for us? Or do you have
stories like we have Forere I'm sure they do.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
You can also send us a talk back like she
did on our iHeart Radio. WAP just clicked that microphone
button next to the play button.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
And on the way. This morning at seven thirty five,
we've got your chance to win tickets to see Cindy Lapper.
It's the girls just want to have fun Farewell Tour,
which is coming back to the Bay Area August twenty
sixth at the Toyota Pavilion.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
So be here at seven thirty five your chance to
win on the Breeze.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Michael Jackson here on ninety eight point one the Breeze.
Seven twenty six is the time you've got the morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Court.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
So, Court, your daughter Quinn is in college. Question for
you do you and Randy reach out to Quinn or
do you wait for Quinn to reach out to you?

Speaker 1 (13:08):
How do you communicate? My wife is better at this
than I am. But she reaches out to her or
is in contact with her daily. But it's usually Randy
reaching out to Quinn, and then I'll text her, I'll
touch base with her maybe once during the day at
some point. Oh so every day. There's been times where
it will be a day or two, but typically at
some point during the day. Well, I have next news

(13:31):
for you. Court.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
They are saying that if you have kids in college,
you should actually be waiting for them to reach out
to you. You shouldn't be the one reaching out. And
here's why they say that your kids they want to
make the first move. It shuts them down a little bit.
Do you sense that Quinn is.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Shut down when I reach out to her. No, okay.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
They also say they don't like it when you FaceTime.
They don't like it when you text. They don't want your.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Follow up calls on the text or the FaceTime. They
don't want any of that. The kids consider it what
they're calling hyper involvement, which they say is a form
of helicopter parenting. Wow, you're welcome that I've taught you
how to raise your kids. I know nothing about this department. No,
this is just a study that came out, So I
just wonder how you and Randy handle. I can definitely

(14:20):
see kind of what the idea behind this is because they,
you know, Quinn is at this stage where we want
her to become her own person, do things on her own,
make her own decisions, and so you know, if even
though she's off at college, if you're in touch with her,
like NonStop, facetiming all those things, it's as if she
never left the house. Yeah, but mine is more simple.

(14:40):
Just be like, hey, I hope you're doing well. It'll
just be simple stuff like that. Or at least once
a week, my Quinn and I will send each other
a song that we're obsessed with at the time. It's
my favorite thing of the week. I love that is
when I get that text from her and then I
send her something I'm listening to.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Yeah, but yeah, maybe I need to take a step back.
I actually kind of I don't know. I look, it's
a study and they're saying this is the deal. But
I when I was in college, I missed my family, right.
I loved when my parents reached out or if they
sent like a surprise care package in the mail or whatever.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
I loved it. So I don't know about this. Times
were different back then now, like you sent letters in
the mail and you sent care packages, and phone calls
were expensive because you had to call long distance. Okay, State,
you are making you feel so old now, like you know,
with technology sure, face timing and conference like all those things.
It's you're like, might as well just be in the

(15:32):
next room. You're so accessible because I literally will call
my daughters when they're in the next room. I'll just
call them on the phone. You will. I don't want
to have to shout in the house. I just call
them on the phone or stand up and walk. Can
you come upstairs please?

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Okay, But if you are a parent of a kid
in college, I would love to hear like how you
communicate with them. Do you feel like the study is
on point where yeah, maybe you do reach out a
little much, or do you think this study is completely
like ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
I'm just curious to know how. I kind of like
the idea of this. I'm I'm behind it in principle, Okay,
all right?

Speaker 2 (16:03):
Eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one. You
can always send us a messenger. iHeartRadio app a really
easy way to communicate with us, and a lot of
people do that.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
All I'm also going to say, I'm not going to
change a thing. Okay, great, great, Well, then I take
everything back we just discussed. Hey, coming up, we're just
minutes away from this seven thirty five Your chance to
win Cindy Lapper concert tickets.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
I want you to know that. Court just looked at
his watch like, hey, oh yep, we're just minutes away.
Seven thirty five. Yeah, Cindy Lapper at the Toyota Pavilion
at Conquered. She's going to be there in August, so
we want to send you be here seven thirty five,
Your chance to win on the Breeze.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. You did it,
your collar ten.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
You just picked up our first pair of Cindy Lapper
tickets for the week.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
Oh no way, I want so what?

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Wow? I know this is exciting and it's her farewell tour.
Also I've never seen her. This is going to be great.
Oh good for you? Who are you? This is ram
Ramit you got yourself two tickets to see Cindy Lauper
at the Toyota Pavilion at Conquered. It's happening August twenty sixth,
courtesy of Live Nation. Now here's the really important part.
In celebration of the Pavilion's fiftieth anniversary, people can buy

(17:13):
two tickets for fifty dollars this Saturday only, but you
got to do it at the Pavilion's box office. But
you don't have to worry about that because you've just won.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Awesome. Thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
I can't wait to tell my wife.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
She's going to be so excited. Thank you.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
You are so welcome. Appreciate you, guys, Thank you, and
we'll have another chance to win coming up tomorrow, same time,
seven thirty five. Here on the Morning Breeze music from
DHT Here on ninety eight point one the Breeze for
one dollar. Caroly, What what is DHT stands for? I
don't know dance House Trance? Did you look that up?

(17:49):
I don't know it until about five minutes a time.
I appreciate your honesty because I wouldn't have even come
close to that. But thank you for the education. Court,
And now you know it's eighth nine, you've got the
Morning Breeze with Carolyn in court.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Oh my gosh, I have to tell you what happened
over the weekend. And not only do I want to
tell you what happened over the weekend, aside from the
Giants sweeping the Mariners, that's pretty awesome, first place San
Francisco Giants, But I want to know how you would
have handled this situation. So I got a text over
the weekend from somebody who I don't have in my
phone as a contact. It was just the phone number,
oh yeah, okay, and the text said, Hey, I was

(18:24):
watching the Giants game today. I heard your voice in
the background announcing the players, and I was so excited.
I hope you're doing well. I've got so many things
good and bad going on in my life. That's the text,
and you don't know who it is. Again, I had
no clue.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
How would you respond? You're asking me a texting expert? Yes,
how would I respond? Okay? That was facetious because you're
not a texting expert. But how would you have responded
to that? One option is the classic new phone who dis? Okay? Okay.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
First of all, you will never hear me say the
words who dis?

Speaker 1 (19:02):
But yeah okay? Option option, or it could just be oh,
I'm so sorry. Is there anything I can do for you? You
can just respond to it as if you know, hoping
that in the next text message they give you more,
give you more clues, and then you become Shrolock Holmes
and figure out who they are.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Here's my response. Okay, so great to hear from you.
I'm already dead, so great to hear from you.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
I hope everything is okay, Ah, where's the shovel? Did you?
Did you get a response back? I did? And do
you know who it is? Yet? I do know? Okay,
it worked, But Court, when I hit send on my reply,
I was like, I am dead.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
You.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
You completely leaned into this. I'm just gonna pretend like
I know who this is.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
I totally rolled the dice and now I know who
it is and we had a great back and forth
at all as well. But I was curious to know
how you would have handled that. I probably phone who.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Did That's probably what I would have done. You would have.
You totally would have. Actually, sometimes if you're lucky, you
can google the phone number, and I did. Occasionally it'll
come up. Occasionally it didn't. I did that. That was
my so that would have been the first thing I did,
and then it would be new phone who dis but

(20:21):
I guess you could just do you I can't, which
is the classic fake it till you make it, and
you made it so great to hear from you anyway,
Oh my gosh, that's so funny.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Eight seven seven nine nine eight one. That's how you
reach us. Hang on to that number because we are
just minutes away. It's your chance to win four two
day admission tickets to See World San Diego.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Yeah, you're gonna win those tickets. Plus we're also gonna
set you up by a one night hotel stay at
the Paradise Point Resort and Spa, which is right next
door to SeaWorld. So be here eight twenty your first
chance of many this week to win here on the
Morning Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and court
in a big congratulations to Jim in Sam Bruno. He
just won these tickets to SeaWorld San Diego.

Speaker 2 (21:02):

Speaker 2 (21:22):
