The Morning Breeze, Morning Breeze on Demand.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Good Morning. It is The Morning Breeze with Carolyn and
Cord and it is April ninth, twenty twenty five. Good morning, Cord.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Happy Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Today happens to be National Name Yourself Day?
Speaker 1 (00:17):
National Name Yourself Day?
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Do you have a name that you use that is
like your pseudo name you go out? Like for me,
if I go out to a bar, which I don't
do very often, Not that there's anything wrong with that,
I don't know why, I'm like ashamed of that. If
I go out to a bar and a guy I met,
and I meet a guy and I'm not into him,
I'll be like, Oh, my name's Jennifer.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Ah, yeah, Jennifer's my student. Jennifer is your go to
fake name?
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (00:42):
What is yours? When you go to bars and girls?
Speaker 2 (00:47):
This?
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Yeah, it's Bob Bob okay, But it's not bars. It's
when I go and I order some place and I
have to give them a name?
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Is it because Bob's easy?
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Bob's easier? Because I say, because most place there like
what's your name? And on my court and the name
that I can expel that, I'm like it doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
I spell it, it's a whole thing. Carolyn becomes Caroline Carol.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
I understand it.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
So Bob Bob one and done. Okay, easy, Psy. I
feel like we need to get you a new name. Well,
I feel like maybe John. I have you seem you
look more like a John to me than a Boss.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
I have gone by John, and in fact, I've gone
by John on the radio before. There was this time
in my life where I had two shifts on the
radio during the same day.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
So you had to pretend to be two different people.
I thought people wouldn't catch that.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
I didn't have to, but I thought it was weird
that I was doing two shifts on the radio. And
I did this for an extended period of time. So
in the morning I was Court Johnson and at night
I was John courtson.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
That Court I'm not even I'm not even gonna say
what everybody's thinking right now.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Here's what I'm gonna do.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
I'm gonna post on our Facebook page right now, ninety
at won the breeze. I'm gonna put a picture of
you up there, okay, and I'm gonna say, let's give
Court a pseudo name and see what people think you should.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
What you look like without without knowing this guy's name's
court what would you call him?
Speaker 2 (02:05):
And John Courtson has already taken So be nice, everybody.
Oh yeah, I know what they Our listeners are great,
they'll be great. So we'll put that. I'll put that
on our Facebook page in just a couple of minutes.
Here we're at eight seven seven nine eight one oh
nine eight one This morning on the show Cindy Lapper,
tickets Toyota Pavilion and conquered in August.

another chance to win tickets to SeaWorld San Diego. We're

That's so cool, okay, And coming up six twenty five,
we've got the morning Breeze brain Teas.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
According to a new survey, this is the area of
the house that is the least likely to be cleaned
least likely to be clean in his house. Does my
whole house count? It's no, no, it does not.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
We're gonna play at six twenty five here on the
Breeze brees. It's the Morning Breeze Carolyn and Court. Six
twenty three is the time and time now for the
Morning Breeze Brain Teas sponsored by Mike Council Plumbing. You're
in clean hands with Mike Council Plumbing. Visit them at
mc plumbing dot com. Let's get dirty. What well the question?
(03:18):
A new survey says, this is the area of the
house that is least likely to be cleaned.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Okay, I got you. Thank you for the clarification. Eight
seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one. Maddy
in San Jose, you think you know the answer?
Speaker 1 (03:30):
What do you think the laundry room? You ever move
your washer or dryer and see what's under it? You
don't want to do that.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
You don't want to do that.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Body goes, Oh, I can't remember. I can't remember the
last time where I had a concentrated clean of the
laundry room. I will say this, though, that we can
keep our little handheld vacuum in there and I'll vacuum
my way into the laundry room. Yes, but it's you know,
vacuum my way in. But it's not a very aggressive
clean I love that answer.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
It's not the correct one. Ah.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Yes, I listen to you guys every single morning. Do
my alarm in the morning.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Oh my gosh, you're the best.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
You guys are great. Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Have a good day, all right? Ed in Tracy, Europe.
What is your guest this morning?
Speaker 3 (04:15):
My bedroom?
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Oh? What's going on in there? Ed?
Speaker 4 (04:19):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (04:20):
It's usually the private placement.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
You just don't take care of you as much as you.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Do the rest of the place, Isn't it so true?
And if you have guests over, you just close the door. Yeah,
nobody needs to know, correct. Would you call it a
dumping ground?
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Ed?
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Oh god, that would be the catch.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
How what you call your bedroom, Carolyn? The dumping ground?
It's got dog beds and clothes on the floor. What
do you think?
Speaker 3 (04:42):
I agree?
Speaker 1 (04:43):
I agree. In our house it's the guest room. If
people are coming over and they're not staying over, everything
goes into the guest room until they leave. That is
so funny?
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Is that the answer?
Speaker 1 (04:52):
That is not? That is not the answer. The answer
is actually a little more specific. According to a new survey,
base boards are the place in your house that are
least likely to be cleaned.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Are you supposed to clean that?
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yeah, we gotta dust clucks on those things.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
That's why you have that little robot that goes around
the house though.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
Oh a roomba. Isn't that what that's called?
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Oh those are great.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
I think get what those our room? But does not
get the baseboards? Oh it doesn't. And my wife and
I are keep on, hey, you gotta clean the baseboards. Yeah,
we'll get to it.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Who says we have to clean the base boards?
Speaker 1 (05:23):
This is the thing. Wait, wait, Raindy and my wife
and I talking about it all the time.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
You do ed do you clean your baseboards?
Speaker 1 (05:30):
I know this is my point. You're not cleaning your baseboards.
You need to get on it.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
You're right.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
I don't know about these questions d who either.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Sometimes they're funny, sometimes they're dreaky, sometimes they're hilarious. But
I love them every time I listen to.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Well, that pretty much sums up court. Actually, So that
was well done. You guys keep doing a great job.
Thank you so much. We're at eight seven seven nine,
eight one nine eight one the morning Breeze, brain t Ease.
We play every weekday morning at six.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Twenty five and coming up this morning at six forty,
another chance for you to ask us anything.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
This one is coming to us from Sandra today and
she is in Oakley and she has a question about breakfast,
oh specifically that I think we.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Will all enjoy. I love breakfast questions, all right.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
So we're gonna talk to her ask us anything. Coming
up next at six forty on the breeze. Good morning.
It is Carolyn and Cord and every weekday morning right
at this time, we do ask us anything. A chance
for you to call us up and literally ask us anything.
We've gotten a little bit of everything I think we've gotten. Hey,
I want your opinion on something that's happening in the
(06:33):
Bay Area or the world, or tell me this about
your lives outside of radio.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
So it's been really fun. Some guy in Nigeria keeps
asking me for my social Security number. That is probably
one of the questions will not answer. Yeah, we're going
to hang on to that one for a while.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
But if you have a question for us eight seven
seven nine eight one oh nine eight one, you can
also always send us a message with our iHeart Radio app.
That's a great way to reach out. Today's ask Us
Anything is coming from Sandra, who drives for Lift. Sandra,
what is your ask us anything question?
Speaker 3 (07:06):
What is your go to topping on an English muffin
or a bagel?
Speaker 2 (07:10):
Go to topping on an English muffin or bagel?
Speaker 1 (07:12):
Love this question?
Speaker 2 (07:13):
So hungry right now? Already this is gonna kill me. Yeah, mine,
for sure. I'm picturing I'm going to go English muffin
on this one. Peanut butter. I feel like we my
deja vouing. Didn't we just have this conversation about something.
We had a similar conversation at one point. Okay, I
can't remember why.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Why? Okay, yeah, peanut butter with honey. Peanut butter with
honey on your English muffins? So oh good? How about
you see I'm more basic when it comes to English muffin.
I did butter. I just want butters. I feel like
the English muffins were specifically created for pools and pools
of butter. What would butter not be on? Tell me
one thing? Go things you would not put butter on?
(07:53):
My point exactly? Yea for a bagel. I'm kind of
the same way. I put a big thing of cream
cheese on it toasted with cream cheese.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Do you get into the flavored cream cheeses? Would you
put a strawberry cream cheese on a bagel?
Speaker 1 (08:06):
I only will put strawberry on a bagel that is
also similarly sweet, So like a blueberry bagel. Oh, that
strawberry cream cheese. My wife think that thinks that's crazy
because it's sweet on sweet and it's two different fruits.
Wrong with that? Awesome? Yeah, well, it's fruit with fruit.
It's like a salad at that point, I know, but
it's just like it's the mixing of the berries. I
suppose mix those berries. Oh that sounds so good.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
See I knew it. Now I'm more hungry than when
we started talking about this. But Sandra, thank you. And
if you would like to ask us something anything, what.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
I've got this? I want to try this. Tell me
what you think about that? Yes, englishmuffin peanut butter. And
I've got these chocolate sprinkles in my in my cupboard
yourself if I add chocolate sprinkles to the top.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
I have to talk about Cindy Lapper. Okay, okay, coming
up at seven thirty five this morning, Cindy Lapper, coming
to the Toyota Pavilion at Conquered that show was happening
August twenty six, and you're going to have a chance
to win tickets.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Yeah, we've been doing this all week long and we've
got another chance for you to win these tickets. That
the show by the way, August twenty six. We'd love
to send you, so be here seven thirty five here
on the Morning Breeze.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
It is the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Core It
it's time for the Brighter Side.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
By the way.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Brighter Side sponsored by Shreeven Company, Luxury time Pieces, fine
Designers and Flawless Diamonds. The Brighter Side is exactly what
it sounds like. It's something positive in your life, something
that makes you happy or you're excited about that you
want to share with us. Eight seven seven nine eight
one oh nine eight one.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Good morning, meing in San Jose. What's your brighter Side.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
I'm a kitchen in San Jose and I'm a polio survivor.
Couldn't do a new sport, but in my late year
I got into cycling and I'm totally passionate about it
and I'm writing for the cif Key, which is called
Challenge f Fleet Foundation.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
Okay, h help to.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
Support everyone who has a permanent disability worldwide. And I
only got of them a few years ago, and I'm
just so blasted with so many wonderful things.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Is like, so you are a teacher in San Jose,
you survived polio, you were never able to do sports,
and now you are.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Your passion is cycling and you're riding in this race.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Yes, and I've put in almost everything CIF offer in
the Bay Area.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
That is really neat CIF Challenged Athletes Foundations. So when
is the ride that you're going to be racing in, Well,
when I don't want to say racing, but riding in.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Yeah. The next event that I will be in is
taking place in San Francisco is called Escape from Alcatral.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
Oh, Escape from Alcatraz.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
Yeah, in June.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
But because I have limited mobility in running, so another
Challenge athlete would do the running part and another would
do the swimming part, I do the bicycling because it's
kind of like a relay triathlon sprit.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
Yeah, that is so neya. You know, Escape from Alcatraz
has always been one of my goals in life to do.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
I only learn about it last year that my friend
from feel I said, Man, you live in the Bay
I mean you don't know, I said, no.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
I've never been able to do any sports.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
I only know of Escape from Alcatraz as the movie.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Well, that makes sense because you're new to the Bay Area. Ning,
that's really great. We're so proud of you that you're
doing that.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Yeah, me too. And a lot of the credit that
helped me is from my bicycle club based in San
Jose call ahmed and Cycle Touring Club. And then my
beloved family is my youngest brother is the cycler who
has written across America to raisund for cancer research. Wow.
And then I'm just following my youngest brother to do
(11:53):
a lot of charity rise.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
That's so neat.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
Well.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Shout out to Almaden Cycling Club in San Jose for
doing this. And we're so proud of you. And I
know the race is coming up in June, like you said,
so we hope to hear from you before them, but
certainly we hope to hear from you after to hear
how it went.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
I listened to Yesha every morning and I love it.
You guys are doing great work. We appreciate that. Well.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
We appreciate you listening. Thank you, and have a great day.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
Okay, thank you, Okay, bye Ming, I ming, goodbye.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
So excited for her, if you've got a brighter side
for us. We're at eight seven seven nine eight one
oh nine eight one and we are just a few
minutes away from your next chance to win. Cindy Lauper tickets.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Come into the Toyota Pavilion at Conquered in August August
twenty six, and we would love to send you four free.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
We'll pick up the tab, of course we will. That's
coming up seven thirty five on the Breeze. It's ninety
eight point one the Breeze, the Morning Breeze with Carolyn
and Court or should I say Carolyn and Bob. Oh, Yes,
it is National Nay Yourself Day. We were talking about
this earlier in the show and we started talking about
like our pseudo names. For example, if I go out
(13:04):
once a year to a bar, sure and somebody approaches
me and I don't want to talk to that certain somebody,
then I would say my name's Jennifer, and then I
would get the heck out of there and they would
never know my real name.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Yeah, so my go to name is Jeffer, and you
were saying, I always go to Bob, and it's simply
because I'm ordering fast food somewhere and they can't spell
Court correctly, so Bob is just easier. But you didn't
like Bob.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
It's not that I don't like Bob. You just don't
look like a Bob. I would put you as a
John or something else, just not a Bob. Eight seven
seven nine eight one oh nine eight one Sue in
Santa Rosa, Good morning.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
I actually like Bob for Court. I look at Court
and I see the basebook cap and the beard, and
I'm like, yeah, Bob, that's that.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
You're like a Bob.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
It's like you're looking at him right now. That's exactly
what he's wearing. Pretty good, guess, because that's what I
wear every day.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
Oh wear the beard far enough for cat.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
So one time I had to have a pseudo name.
I was working for a winery and they didn't want
any of the sales reps to have the same name.
And shoe Susan, Susie. All of that is very very common. Sure,
so we already had a salesperson with the name of Susan,
so I had to pick a pseudo name. So I
(14:19):
went home and my husband and I molded around and
we came up with Jewel Adam.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Jewel Adams.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
He did a first name and last name.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
I can guarantee no one else at that winery was
named Jewel Adam.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
Did you come up with a great backstory?
Speaker 4 (14:35):
Yep, I mean nobody ever required. I mean they just
assume that was really my name.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
That's great, Sue. I'm sorry, Jewele, Yeah, love it, have
a good day.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
Say bye.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
We're at eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine
eight one. And by the way, we put this on
our Facebook page this morning at ninety eight one of Breeze,
a big old picture of Cord just asking we're trying
to find a pseudo name for him.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
If his name wasn't Court, what would it be. I
seen some good ideas here, Richie, Seamus, Rusty, Rusty. Well,
that's very Anthony Michael Hall from Mullivacation. Problem is, I
already have a brother named Russ and we called him
rusty when he was okay, So that one's out. I'd
be Rusty.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
There are a lot of great suggestions, though, so join
in on that conversation and see this picture of Court
that I'm going to say, this is your favorite picture
of yourself.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
It is right. I use it a lot. That is
on our Facebook page at ninety eight one. The Breeze coming.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Up in just a few minutes.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Cindy Lapper tickets for you. Yep, she's coming to the
Toyota Pavilion I conquered in August and we would love
to send you. So be here seven thirty five minutes
from now here on the Morning Breeze. It's the Morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Court. Congratulations to you. You've just
got yourself. Cindy Lapper tickets way.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
I've been calling me no week.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
It's a lucky Wednesday for you.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
Sure is.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Who is this Anna?
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Anna? Wordy?
Speaker 2 (15:58):
You listen to us San Francisco.
Speaker 4 (16:01):
I listened to you guys every morning on my way
to work.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Thank you so much. Well, congratulations, Anna, we got two
tickets for you. You're going to see Cindy Lapper. She's going
to be at the Toyota Pavilion. It conquered on August
twenty six. It's all courtesy of Live Nation in celebration
of the pavilion's fiftieth anniversary. You can get two tickets
for fifty dollars on Saturday, this Saturday only at the
Pavilion's box office. Anna, we are taking care of you
(16:27):
picking up the tap.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Thank you, thank you, I appreciate it. It's the Morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Court and Brian Adams at eight
oh nine here on ninety eight point one the Breeze Court.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Do you remember a few weeks ago, maybe it was
two weeks ago that I told you I was doing
a workout at home, like I have a little mini
gym at home, and I was doing a workout and
in the middle I stopped and went to mister Pickles
and got a turkey wrap.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Mid mid workout. You got hungry when got yourself some deliciousness.
So good, But you did say you returned to the workout.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
I did. I finished the I had the mister Pickles wrap,
then I got back to the workout.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Well it happened again, and this time I didn't go
to mister Pickles. I was working out, of course, thinking
about food, and then I stopped and I made a
whole pan of enchiladas.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
I don't know what's happening.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
I can't stop.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
What what is happening during your workouts? Are you?
Speaker 2 (17:23):
I don't think I want to work out?
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Is what's happened? And you're just thinking about food?
Speaker 2 (17:27):
Yes, doesn't everybody. You're working out so that you can
be healthy, but so that you can eat good stuff.
And I was like, man, I really want inchiladas. So
I was about halfway through. I sap. I go in
the kitchen. I'm like, well, I'll just start like the
I do like chicken.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
Guys like I talking here, we're talking chicken.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
I'm glad you asked some beans. I got some cheese,
so good inchilada sauce. Finally, I was like, I might
as well just finish this. I already started it. So
I put them in the oven, set them to bake,
and I went and finished the workout. Now the key
here is that I finished the workout. I don't see
the problem.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
Okay, I don't see the problem in any of this,
because first of all, you got to eat right, thank
you court. So if if if that was the time
that you felt like you should do it, the problem only,
the only problem would happen is if you did not
finish the workout.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
That would be a problem. Yeah, but if I stop,
it's like maybe good for me to stop because I'm arresting,
but I don't know what is going on. And of
course now I want mister Pickles and I want inch
A lottas as I'm telling the story again. But wonder
if there are people listening that have something where you're
really trying and you just can't. You can't a one
hundred percent complete the task at hand.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
The mind is an interesting thing, the justification the brain
as you're going through this, it's.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
The justification that is the key word right there. Eight
seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one. I'll
bring you some some inchellattas. They're really good, sound good,
very good.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
Do you ever put olives in your Nope? Not a fan, okay,
not a fan, uh, just asking yeah, hell opinios though
I'll add my own ooh really all right, Well listen,
sometimes ketchup is too much for me, yeah on an
inch a lata just period. Sometimes ketchup is too spicy
for this guy.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
Okay, Well that's what that's what got going on here
in this room today. Guys, hey, you as again you
can reach us eight seven seven nine eight one oh
nine eight one send us a message or iHeartRadio app

to us when it's convenient for you.
Speaker 1 (19:23):

at Paradise Point Resort and Spa where you can literally
walk to SeaWorld from the hotel right next door. It's
going to be great. So be here at eight twenty

Speaker 1 (19:46):
It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. All Right,
Alex in San Jose is.
