Happy Monday to you. It is The Morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Court.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Happy Monday, final day of March.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
I know, how was your weekend?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
It was good. Had a little quick trip to Mexico.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
I know. I love that you jetted off Friday after
the show. It was like a cartoon where you see
the papers in the air just floating to the ground
when Court left the studio.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
A lot of sun on the beach. But I'm probably
the only guy that can go to a beach and
come back with my skinnish barge. Yeah. Now I'm whiter
than when I met. I put on so much sunscreen.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
You have to, you're a redhead.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
But it was good. How was your weekend?

Speaker 1 (00:43):
It was good. I went to a Sharks game this
weekend in San Jose. That's right, so fun. I went
down there with Cal. It was Cal night at the
Sharks game, and I moderated a panel with a couple
of volleyball players from Cal which was really fun, and
asked them about you know, it was it's Women's History Month.
It's the last day of Women's History Month, but we

(01:03):
were talking about women in sports and it was just
really fun just to be down in San Jose. I
don't get to go to hockey games that often, so
it was great. Yeah, it was super fun, very nice.
We hope you had a great weekend. Of course, you
can call us eight seven seven nine eight one nine
eight one. So last week on the show, we were
giving away those tickets remember for the Mount Winery in Saratoga,

(01:26):
Chicago and the Beach Boys.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
They just announced their big lineup of all the great
shows coming this year. Incredible lineup.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
This week, we are so lucky because we're going to
have a chance for you to win tickets to see
bos Gags. Okay, so we're going to do that at
seven thirty five every morning this week Bossgags. October twenty eighth.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
I'm writing this down.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
I know. I saw somebody online, a friend of mine, Trish,
already got her tickets. She loves Boss Gags. And then
at eight twenty air supply, Oh Winery, they're going to
be their August twenty second. We have a listener that
sent me a DM the other day and was like,
are you going to be give away those tickets. I
did not know that at the time, but here we are.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yeah. So eight twenty for air supply, seven thirty five
for boss gas, good notes, good joby, I've got it
all down. Coming up at six twenty five. It's the
Morning Breeze Brain Teas.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
All right.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
In a recent survey, sixty six percent of adults, and
we're going to say young adults because we're talking ages
eighteen to twenty seven, okay, So, in a recent survey,
sixty six percent of young adults were unable to identify
this car part.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
This car part.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Young?

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Does young adults translate to me as well? Sure, because
there is a lot about a car. I don't know
if I said show me this, so you'd be like,
I don't I don't know. Eight seven seven nine eight
one oh nine eight one is how you reach us
with your guesses. We're going to play the Morning Breeze
Brain Teas. It's six twenty five right here, Earlees, Christina Perry,
it is six twenty three, and it is the Morning

(02:51):
Breeze with Carolyn and Cord every weekday morning here at
six twenty five, and this morning is no different. We're
gonna do the Morning Breeze brain Tea.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
And it's sponsored by Mike Council Plumbing. You're in clean
hands with my Council Plumbing. Visit them at mc plumbing
dot com. Okay, so, in a recent survey, sixty six
percent of young adults we're talking eighteen to twenty seven
years old, we're unable to identify this car part.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
I can't wait for these guesses. Okay. Eight seven seven
nine eight one oh nine eight one. Kirsten in Fairfield,
Good morning, Happy Monday. You're up first. What do you
think transmission?

Speaker 2 (03:27):
I don't know too many adults period that would be
able to identify the transmission. I don't think I could,
and I think you have to get underneath the car
to even be able to you you maybe maybe the
transmissions I think are buried inside the guts of the car. Okay,
when you say guts of the car, I think that
I'm not a mechanic that shows your car knowledge.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
So I'm gonna assume that's not the answer.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Yeah, it's not the answer.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Well, Kirsten, you are so fun. We're so glad you
called great. Thank you have a great day, you too.
By Kirston Lori in Nevada. Welcome to the morning Breeze.
You've got a guest for the brain tease.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
How you open a window?

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Oh? Oh, totally, especially new cars these days. Yeah, they heard, Yeah,
because I don't know cars at all. I know where
the steering wheel is, but that's about it.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
And the radio stearing you guys.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
On and we appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Rory. You've ever been in one of those cars where
they put the window controls are actually in the middle console,
they're to the right. Yeah, you know they're in the center.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
What are they doing?

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Yes, there's times when I've locked my passengers in the
car and I can't figure how to unlock it.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Exactly right, Laurie, remind us to never get in a
car with you. I love the guests. It's not correct.
Here's the here's the answer. Sixty six percent of adults. Again,
these are people ages eighteen to twenty seven, so young
adults unable to identify the.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Battery in their car. Wow, I don't know where the
battery is.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
That's bad, that's really I believe it.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
It's just like kids.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
They don't have the dial to phone anymore. Exactly.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
I know. It's crazy.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
When I was taking care of children and I said
where's your phone book? What's that?

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Oh, it's ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Ri.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
I have to admit when I get the phone books
delivered to my door, which doesn't happen as much as
it used to, but every now and then I'll have
a phone book delivered, it goes right into Really that's
the Internet.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
I didn't know they still delivered phone books. Do you
get one? Lori?

Speaker 2 (05:30):
No, I don't. I don't.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
I don't either. Where do you live, Mayberry? I was
just going to ask that it's been a few years,
but I was shocked, Laurie. This has been fun.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Well, and you.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Guys have a great day and a great evening and
we'll talk again. All right, thanks a lot, all right bye.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
It's the Morning Breeze brain Teese and we do it
every weekday morning six twenty five.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Here on the Morning Breeze coming up this morning at
seven thirty five. It's going to be your first chance
of many this week to win, Tike. It's to go
see the legendary bos Skags playing at the Mountain Winery.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Yeah, definitely a show you want to see, and we've
got your free tickets, so be here seven thirty five
on the Morning Breeze they are the eagles here on
ninety eight point one the Breeze. It's the morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Court. Six forty is the time, and
that means it's time for you to ask us anything.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
I love this. This has been so much fun, a
chance for you to ask us. Whether it be about
you know something here at the Breeze, it could be
things going on in the world. Anything, sky's the limit
pretty much. We're at eight seven seven nine, one oh
nine eight one. It's Gail in San Jose, good morning,
ask us anything. I just wanted to ask you in court.
If you guys are as frustrated as my husband and

(06:43):
I when you go through the drive room now and
they have the AI computer asking you.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
For your order.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Yes, we talked about that. Yeah, I think a week ago.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Two weeks ago.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
We couldn't remember it all runs the other week.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
We have talked about it here on the show. I
have yet to experience the AI drive through experience. I
haven't experienced it either. I've certainly heard about it, but
I'm I'm okay with it. If it's not taking jobs
away from people, right, that's the whole And put that
with AI with anything like I love new technology. If
it's helping make the world a better place, make us,

(07:18):
you know, do things better, great, But if it's taking
away jobs, no, And if it's getting your order accurate,
I would add that into those two things, as long
as somebody is not losing a job because of this,
because I think as part of our discussion, we thought,
somebody still is going to have to take your money, yeah,
or your credit card however you're paying, and somebody's going

(07:40):
to physically have to hand yes, and you the food yes,
of course, until a robot can do that for us.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
It's funny because yeah, I'm so anti AI. But I
have to say I was writing a post on LinkedIn
or something, I think it was LinkedIn the other day
and it suggested, oh, right, do you want to see
what this looks like an AI? And my first reaction
was absolutely not, because I had written, you know, my
own sure and out with my own thoughts, and then

(08:06):
I was like, let me try this AI thing, and
I hit okay, and I loved it. Oh yeah, I'm
like this is great. So in that sense, yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
These are the things where like us as common people
like simple things like that AI look like, okay, that
may help me out right, do you really need it?
Maybe not? But like when you think about they're able
to use AI now to help doctors make diagnosis.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
And that's what it's great.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
And they can the AI can see things that a
doctor would have to spend a lot more time looking at,
probably and maybe even miss so yeah, in that case,
I think it's great. But you'd still want the doctor
to verify some stuff. Absolutely, so it's a tag team
effort at this point. We both agree. All right, Gil,
that was great, Thank you, Yes, ask us anything. We
do it every weekday morning at six forty. You can

(08:52):
always send us a message with our iHeartRadio app. You
can do that with our app.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Just hit that microphone button next to the play button
that's the talk back mic to leave a message or
call us eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine
eight one.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
And coming up this morning at seven thirty five if
you haven't heard the great lineup coming to the Mountain
Winery for their summer concert series. It is so great
And at seven thirty five, we have tickets to check
out Boss Gags when he hits the stage October twenty eighth,
So be here seven thirty five your chance to win
here on the Morning Breeze.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
It's Steve Ferry at seven o six. Good morning, it
is the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Corden. You know
by now that every weekday morning right around this time
we do the Brighter Side. And this is where you
call us or send us a message on our iHeartRadio
app and tell us what's happening in your life. That's good.
I know a lot of people court tune in specifically
in the morning at this time for the Brighter Side,

(09:43):
because it's a nice way to start your day hearing
something positive about someone else or something going on in
the world. Eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one.
Brighter Side sponsored by Shriven Company, Luxury time pieces, find
Designers and flawless Diamonds.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Good morning, Nadia in Piedemont. How are you this morning.
I'm good.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
It's my birthday today. Happy birthday. Thank you. What are
you doing for your birthday today? You know I am
working today, but I will take some time to go
in nature. This is great because you can sneak out
today between rain showers. I think it's going to like
taper off this morning.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Take an umbrella. Yes, yes, I love that.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Because I think as adults, a lot of us when
it comes to our birthday, we kind of blow it
off because it doesn't feel cool to celebrate yourself on
your birthday. But I love that you're going to take
some time to go do what you want to do today, Nadia,
I will, I will, and I'm listening to you, guys,
this is also what I wanted to do today. Oh well,
oh well, to involve us in your birthday, we are

(10:44):
very honored. That is a gift, and I do mean
a gift.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Bye. We forgot to get you something.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
You all right, Nadia, will go enjoy your birthday and
we hope you get out there for a walk or
something today. I have a wonderful day. Thank you, Okay,
bye bye by.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
If you've got a brighter side, like Naudia, we would
love to hear from you. You can call us eight
seven seven nine eight one oh ninety eight one. You
can also use the talkback feature on our free iHeartRadio app.
Just look for that red microphone button. Leave your message.
We'll get it here in the studio.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Coming up next at seven twenty five. There is something
that there's a good chance you're doing in a restaurant
okay that people that work in restaurants are now saying absolutely,
do not do this. Oh I know. I was floored
when I heard this. Too interesting. And we'll tell you
what it is. Coming up seven twenty five this morning
on the Breeze.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
It's Bed Middler Here at seven twenty four, it's the
Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
I used to listen to that song on cassette single
Yeah in my eighty one Mazda nineteen eighty eight, I think,
and blasting it going down Treat Boulevard and conquered.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
You couldn't go anywhere at that time and not here.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
That's Bed Midler so good, I know. And beaches the movie, Oh,
the Highs and the Lows. Anyway, Yeah, Morning Breeze with
Carolin and and Court. Good morning Court. When you go
out to eat, yes with your family, and when you're done,
do you stack up the plate for your waiter or
your way to Yes.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
We want to be super helpful and help them clean
off the table, So we start stacking and get them organized,
and they just come up, grab them and walk away.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Do you remember a couple of minutes ago when I
said there is something that we do at restaurants that
we think is helping, and waiters and waitresses are saying,
please stop doing that. Is that it? Yes, they they
say we should not stack our plates for them because
sometimes it causes more work for them, because if you
don't do it the right way, and you've got a

(12:37):
fork under that plate, or you've somehow given them uneven
or unbalanced plates, you're asking the trouble. It makes it
more difficult and more dangerous for them.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
I stand in awe when I see waiters come in,
either bringing the food or taking the food. The way
they balance all the plates on their hands.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
I don't know how they do it.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
And you know, occasionally you hear it, you see the accidents.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Yeah, don't usually.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
I also wonder if you work in a restaurant, because
I've never that is one job I've never had. But
I've heard from people that have worked in restaurants like,
you need to have some serious respect because it's a
tough job.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
My first job, my first job was I was a
bus boy. Oh okay, so answer this.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Yeah, do the people, the waiters and the waitresses and
the bus boys bus girls do they have like one
big bicep on one side and the other side is
like soft because I feel like when I see them
carrying these trays or in your case, the bus boy,
bus girl, are you are you unbalanced there in the
muscle department.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
We I never tried to grab a stack of tray
or you know, plates, just with my hands. I always
had a bin that was just the bus boy. I'd
come over, so you got double hand bin. Yeah, yeah,
bring to the table, load everything in, take it safely
to the kitchen to get it all cleaned up. But
like when when we do it as a family, we
we go as far as we I will scrape the
plates wow onto one plate, and then make sure that

(13:56):
there's no utensils intermixed in there, because that sounds like.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
That's the is. I think that might be part of
the issue. But if there's an I don't know how
else you would unbalanced. But I am curious if anybody listening,
if you work in a restaurant, because I've never known
the real answer on this. Do you want us to
stack our plates? Even though we're being told not to,
I still feel like maybe we should if we do
it the right way. I kind of want to do
it me too. It's hard for me just to leave.
Plus they feel weird about just leaving my plate and

(14:20):
being like take it away, like no, let me. How
can I help you eight seven seven one nine eight
one or send us a message with our iHeartRadio app
using that talkbag microphone.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
And coming up in just a few minutes. Seven thirty
five A chance to win tickets to see Boss Gags?
Who's coming to the Mountain Winery October twenty eighth.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Buzzgags. I love him so much, so many hits. Yes,
you have a chance to go sit under the stars.
The Mountain Winery is such a great venue too, so
we are so excited to give you this chance to
win those tickets. Like Court said, seven thirty five, Bosgags
here on the Breeze.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
It's the morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and congratulations,
you've got yourself tickets to see Boss Gags at the
Mountain Winery.

Speaker 1 (15:01):

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Every morning before I go to work, I listen to
your the Breeze. I'm not expecting it. I just try it.
When I heard that Court.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Call right now, and you know you might be.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
Lucky, so I call him that.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Oh I'm lucky. Thank you very much. Is this how
it works?

Speaker 2 (15:36):
I like it when people listen to me. I've been
listening to you all the time. You guys are good.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
Thank you so much. Have a good day, Roland. Okay,
thank you very much, guys.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
And another chance to win tomorrow seven thirty five. Here
on the Morning Breeze. She has Jennifer Page Here on
ninety eight point one The Breeze. You've got the Morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Court at eight oh seven.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
I did something over the weekend, Court, and I want
you to be completely honest and tell me if you've
ever done anything remotely close to this.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
Honesty is my middle name.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Okay. It has to do with food and working out. Okay, Okay,
I feel like I'm zooming in the Honesty is not
my middle name, and my name is Joe. Okay. I
was doing a workout yesterday. I do workouts at my
house and I was halfway through the workout and I
packed up park, got in the car, went and got

(16:31):
a Mister Pickles turkey wrap, came home ate it. I
did finish the workout, but after there was the thought
that ran through my mind that was like, did you
just stop working out to go get a sandwich? And
the answer is yes, I did.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
What was it about the workout that prompted you to
just kind of throw the towel for the moment to
go get that delicious sandwich?

Speaker 1 (16:57):
It was coming up on noon, you were hungry? It
was well, no, it was just coming up on noon,
it was lunchtime, and I thought, mister Pickles sounds so good.
They're turkey raps. They put cranberry in there, a little
bit of mayo, a gluten free wrap, and then I
couldn't get my mind off of it. I might have
to get another one today.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
There have been times when I don't regularly work out
at a gym, but this would happen when I would
go to the gym halfway through the workout. You're there,
you're tired, you're working out, and you're hungry, and then
you start thinking, okay, on the way home, I could
stop by McDonald's and get myself a six piece McNugget. Right,
So how much longer do I need to run to

(17:39):
make up for that cat in the calories I'm now
going to have to my diet?

Speaker 1 (17:42):
You get, and then I would say that long you
get excited about what's about to happen, and you'd try
and tell yourself at least finish the workout you're going
to earn this. In my case, I just thought, no,
it needs to happen right now.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
But good on you for coming back to that workout afterwards,
because I never would have. I would have just been
done for the day.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
Well, it wasn't easy. Not all heroes wear capes.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Who does see you?

Speaker 1 (18:03):
Thank you Court, I appreciate that. But have you ever
done something like that where you're mid workout and you
stop and you go eat. Maybe you don't come back,
and maybe you do.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
You're doing that inter negotiation with yourself, trying to figure
out the justifying us off the charts.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Yeah, eight seven seven nine, eight one oh nine eight
one is how you reach us? Coming up at eight
twenty this morning, beautiful Mountain Winery. We are so lucky
because last week we were doing Beach Boys and Chicago tickets.
