Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Morning Breeze.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
The Morning Breeze on demand.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
It's seven o six with Ann Wilson and Mike g Reno.
Here on ninety eight point one The Breeze. It's The
Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and easily one of
our favorite times of the week where we get to
announce the new Morning Breeze person of the Week.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
It was a tough choice this week, but we have
settled on Edwin, who nominated his wife, Tammy. We've got
Edwin on the phone, so tell us about your lovely
wife and why you nominated her.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
My wife never does anything for herself. See, we have
two autistic boys, they're both on the severe side, and
she has done her years of fighting and navigating with
the school district to make sure that they can get
the services they need and not just what's affordable for
the school district. Yeah, and now my wife does nothing
but help other people, other moms, other families going through

(00:48):
this so that they can easily navigate their way through
this and not have to go through the fights. Because
it was a nightmare for her and for us and
our family. And now she doesn't do anything for herself.
I can't even get her to go shopping for herself.
I thought it would try it, just something nice for her. Yeah,
I've never worked, by the way.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
You know, well, guess what it's going to work this time.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
She could to get a break and actually feel like
she's the person and not just like a machine or
a mom. That would be amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
I think that's what happens sometimes, is you get so
you start spinning, right, you're so in the zone of
trying to make everything work for everybody else that you
put your own needs aside.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
And it sounds like that's what she's kind of done.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
And there's I think there's a level of comfort that
comes from that because she's done it for so long
and she does it so well, it sounds like, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
It's all she knows.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
She really does like to help people. She'd rather just
everybody be happy with her kids. She just wants the
best for our kids, and she knows that she would
just rather have the best for everybody else's.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yeah, I would have to say as a parent of
two kids, you know, I witnessed other parents in my
schools and within my district that had fought the big
fight for different things, and just how many other people
are benefiting from all this work that your wife has
done over the years. It's going to continue on for
years and years.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
You guys are amazing. Yeah, she definite would just put
out the pipe for everybody.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Where are you right now, Edwin?

Speaker 4 (02:04):
I'm at home. Yeah, I took today off today. My
wife is sleeping right now, but I can wake her up.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Oh my gosh, I was gonna say, if we call
her and wake her up, this might actually be kind
of funny if she's really gonna have no idea what's happening.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Give us the high sign is to when when it's
safe to call.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Oh, give me one sing Hey, Sam, wake up and
grab your phone. Grab your phone.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
You can call her all right, hang on, Good morning,
sleepy head, time to get up, Tammy.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
This is Carolyn and Court.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
At ninety eight point one of the Breeze. We're good
and obviously we have Edwin on the phone, So ed
when we want you to tell your lovely wife why
we're calling this morning.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
Dam I love you. You do so much for our family.
You are one of the best moms that I've ever seen.
You used all of your knowledge to help everybody else
without asking a thing from them, and honestly, I just
want you to be able to take a break and
feel like a person you are, Tammy. You are the
most beautiful thing in the universe, and really you just
need a break, Tammy.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Wasn't this worth waking up for?

Speaker 3 (03:14):
I think it will be because the break that Edwin
is talking about, Tammy is We're going to send you
out on a city cruise's cruise on the bay and
have a nice bruncho.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Where I don't have to cook, clean, do anything. You
don't have to do any of those things. You and
Edwin just go out and take a morning off to
eat some good food, relax a little bit, get some
fresh air in you, and just take the morning for yourselves.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
You're welcome.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Well, you sound like a pretty darn special woman like you.
Definitely deserve it. We get hundreds of nominations and so
the fact that you are this week's Morning Breeze Person
of Week, your story really stood out to us. Oh,
I appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Thank you so much and definitely something to wake up
to you on a Friday morning.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Yes, yeah, now I'm awaken ready to go.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
You're looking at you. You went from bed to boat
all at about thirteen minutes.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
See what I did.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
It was pretty good, right, It's good, all right? And Edwin,
you're awesome too. How sweet of you to think of
your wife to do this for her, and you're right,
it worked. We are actually going to get her out
of the house to do something for herself.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Okay, you guys, have a good day and a good weekend.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
All right.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
And if you have somebody you'd like to nominate, like
a Tammy or somebody that's doing something special in your life,
let us know about that. Person ninety eight one the
