Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Morning Breeze, the Morning Breeze on Demand. That's a
song you'll hear only on the Breeze Share with Peter Sitera.
And it is seven oh four. It's Morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Court and it is time as we look
forward to this every week and we do it every
Friday morning, just after seven our Morning Breeze Person of
the Week announcement.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
And this week our Morning Breeze Person of the Week
is Coffee in Oakland, who was nominated by Margaret.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Good morning, Margaret, it is so fun to have you
on the show.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
I just want to start by saying I love the
concept of this. I just think there should be more
of it.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
So nice. We do too, We do too. We love
doing this every Friday morning.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Yeah, it's really sweet. It's a really sweete speaking.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
I have so tell us all about coffee.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Well, coffee disclaimer. This is my wife, but okay, she
is an amazing human, an incredible performer, singer, songwriter. She's
actually on the road right now. They just landed. But
she's an incredible musician, song writer, writer. She just wrote
a book called The Little Book of Joy. And this
is where I am going to segue. The fact that

(01:07):
people in general, she's kind of been called the joy spreadername,
I know, and I was like, you need a cape
or something. She kind of wakes up every day and
makes a choice to just be a really beautiful and
loving human. What really got me when I heard you.
When I heard you on the radio, I say the

(01:29):
person that we have thought about it and I was like, oh,
there's so many because I have a really amazing pack
of friends and family and everything, and I was like, well,
she's my favorite person for a reason. The cutest, most
recent story is that for Valentine's Day, we decided that
we were going to do kind of We're just going
to go around Lake Marritt. We live in Oakland, and

(01:51):
we made our own homemade Valentine and she is so
motivated by random acts of kindness and went around like
merit or just that general area. We even were driving,
and she got so into it. I mean, she stopped
at a taco truck when side she like the woman.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
I can imagine a woman's reaction in the taco truck
like what is this.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
And it was just the cutest thing to witness, and
I just these are the moments where I'm like, God,
I wish, I wish people could see this, but I'm
really grateful.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
One of the things, Margaret that I loved in your
nomination of Coffee is you said that everything she does
is intentional. She is intentionally kind because, yeah, witnessing the
impact that just a simple act of kindness makes changes
their life. It changes yours and people watching it, it
changes their lives.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
That's exactly right. And it is a choice. Yeah, like
we wake up. And then she also has like gratitude
every more, you know, thinking about what we're grateful for
is also something. It's just a practice that's very important.
And yeah, all these things about the intentional, that's kind
of one of the things she does is the gratitudes

(03:03):
and you know, thinking about a good.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
And that we can no, she's a perfect person of
the week. We know she's on the road obviously and traveling,
so we will leave it to you, Margaret, to give
Coffee the news that she's our morning brief person of
the week and to give her that cruise on the
Bay from our friends at City Cruises, where both of
you can go out one morning and just take the
morning off and let her rest a little bit there

(03:27):
you go, although she'll probably spread joy on the City
Cruises boat.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Right. Oh, we'll bring the valpen If somebody warns City
Cruises they're getting a bunch of Valentines on a Sunday.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Morning, I don't think anybody's gonna complain.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Nope, that's so sweet.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
That's the bonus to the bonus because the real point
of this, which has been your point, is to celebrate
people that are doing these great things but oftentimes not
being recognized for them. But then we throw in the
City Cruise cruise and it's that much better.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Yeah, So we'll leave that for you to give to her, Margaret,
But we sure a preciate you being on with us
this morning.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Yeah, tell coffee. We said, hi night.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
That's so wonderful. Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
You are absolutely welcome our Morning Breeze person of the Week.
We are always looking for nominations, especially now we're looking
for one for next week. So let us know who
that person is for you.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yeah, I would have to assume as you were listening
to Margaret talk about coffee, that somebody popped into your mind.
You're like, you know what I would really like to
nominate that person?

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Yes, you should do it ninety eight one the Breeze
dot Com right there on our homepage for next week's
